Stars

You would have thought na babalik ako sa wattpad.. after all those years.

But here I am, can't keep my thoughts to myself na naman.Rereading my previous poems, ang cringe pala nong iba hahaha.

This is not a poem, but rather a narrative... lingering thoughts of a passerby...

--Stars--

I was mesmerized by the city lights—their brilliance, their irresistible beauty.
In the darkness of my world, they felt like distant stars promising me a brighter tomorrow.
I chased them without hesitation, never once doubting my choice, until the day I realized what I had left behind.
In my pursuit of their glow, I had abandoned my own stars. My light dimmed so much that I could barely recognize myself.
I forgot the brilliance that once made me whole, the version of me that was loved, the potential that could have opened countless doors.
I didn’t shine alongside those stars; instead, their radiance burned me, leaving me hollow. And in the end, even they lost their light, leaving nothing but shadows where promises once glimmered.
