I'm not dead. (Y/N) thought as he opened his eyes. He lay on a bed with white sheets over him. Looking to his left, an IV was going into his left arm and a heart rate sensor over his index finger. He quickly came to the obvious conclusion that he was in a hospital. He looked around. He was isolated in his own room. When he tried to move, pain shot through his left hip, making his whole body buck. Laying back down, the only thing (Y/N) could do was wait. He had no call button or anything to alert the staff he was awake. He thought about the events that took place before he went unconscious. The grimm had mentioned the black spot on his torso without seeing it and talked about his aura, which had not completely regenerated in some time. He couldn't remember much after that. A nurse walked in with a clipboard in hand, not noticing (Y/N)'s awake. It's only when he coughs that he finally gets her attention.

"Oh, you're awake!" The nurse exclames. "I must tell head master Ozpin!"

"Hey, wait!" but she was already gone. (Y/N) released a deep sigh. A few minutes later, Ozpin walks through the door.

"(Y/N)." He greats.

"Oz."

"You look well, omiting the fact that you're curently confined to a bed."

"In all honesty, this is probably the best thing I've slept on in years."

"Ha! You made it sound like you were a whole diffrent person over the phone, but in reality you haven't changed a bit." This made (Y/N) slightly smile.

"Were am I exactly?"

"You're back at Beacon Acadomy."

"Really?" Ozpin nods. "Why was I brought here?"

"Well, if we had brought you to a regular hospital, they would question about that spot on your chest. Also, there are lots of people wanting to see you. Don't worry, only a handfull of people know your wearabouts."

"Do you know what it is?"

"I may. But lets not worry about that for now. Would you like to see your parents?"

"What?"

"I know that out of the blue, but Summer Rose has informed them that you're here. I have told them they could not see you until you have woken. But you get the final say."

(Y/N) took a moment to think. "Might as well."

"Okay. I will tell them you're awake. Is there anything else you need while I'm here?"

"Could I get something to eat?"

A few months past since (Y/N) woke. Ozpin still didn't let anyone see him right away. (Y/N) needed to get his strength back. The battle with the grimm left him temperarly handycapped. He needed a wheel chair to move around the building, when he was sure he could stand, he used crutches. Since his talk with Oz, (Y/N) went quiet to the point some of Beacon's staff thought his lost his voice in the fight. He had hoped to die when he entered the house. What saved him? He couldn't remember a detail if his life depened on it. But what the grimm said about him stuck in his mind the most. The words 'You don't know what you are.' kept replaying in his mind. The grimm didn't say it as a question, but more of a statement. Ozpin telling (Y/N) he may know what the spot was didn't help. When (Y/N) asked, Oz wouldn't tell him. This caused him to come to a conclusion.

I'm a monster. Is that why all these thing happened to me? Is that why my team died? Am I responsible for all this? Why, God? Why did you make me this way?

He thought of all this while laying in his bed in an empty dorm. It was just like the one his team used to share. The beds and the nightstands were positioned the same. He would sit here all day and night, only getting up to use the restroom and to go eat. Occasionally, he would walk into classrooms during a lecture just to listen. Nobody minded. In fact, some would go up to him and ask him some questions. He would answer only few, nothing about his personal life, the answers he gave only lasted one sentence. He would get lunch at the cafateria with the rest of the students. He would even sit by them but not say anything. When classes ended, he would go back to his dorm and lay in bed the rest of the day. He was fallowing a familiar schedule. One day after classes, he went back to his dorm and found some people he didn't expect to see again.
