6 Months Later

"(Y/N)." He stirred awake from his name being called. "Come on. It's eight o'clock." He sits up in the bed and looks at Raven, who was the source of the voice.

"Hey." He says while rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Raven was standing by the bed already dressed. "Did I sleep in?"

"Yeah, but you deserved it after that mission." She notices an enormous bruise forming on his thigh. "You can sleep in longer if you need to."

"No. If I sleep any more, I'll feel miserable for the entire day." He gets out of bed and goes to the bathroom to take a shower.

After he dresses himself and puts his wedding ring on his left ring finger, he goes to the kitchen for breakfast. As he brews his coffee, he feels something wrap itself around his leg.

"Morning, daddy." (Y/N) reaches down and hugs Laura.

"Hey, sweetheart. Have you been good?" She quickly nods her head.

"How was your mission?"

"I'll tell you and your mother about it at lunch." He stands up and drinks his freshly brewed coffee. "How's school?"

"I hate it." This makes (Y/N) chuckle. "I like everybody there, but the teachers are so boring."

(Y/N) chuckles again. "I didn't like school much either."

"Can I shoot your gun?" She asks out of the blue.

(Y/N) nearly chokes on his coffee. "Which one?"

"Um, your... the big one."

(Y/N) thinks for a moment. "Later today, we'll go to the backyard and set up some targets."

Laura thanks (Y/N) and hugs him one more time before leaving the room.

"Your going to teach her to shoot?" Raven asks while walking into the kitchen.

"It's time we got around to it. Besides, she still has the Maiden powers. She needs to learn this stuff." He takes a sip of his coffee. "I'm just afraid if I do teach her, she'll grow up too fast."

Raven smiles and brings him into a reassuring embrace, being mindful of her stomach. "She'll have to learn one way or another." She tells him. "Just show her what she wants to know, but I'd stay away from anything with a blade for now." (Y/N) smiles and kisses Raven's lips.

A few hours later

"And then the death stalker got crushed by the truck. It was a sight to behold." (Y/N) told the two about his mission.

"What's a death stalker?" Laura asks.

"Imagine a giant scorpion." They continue to eat for a minute. "How was everything while I was gone?"

"It was fine for the most part." Raven places a hand on her stomach. "The baby was kicking a lot. Guess she missed her daddy." All three laugh at Raven's comment.

"Have you thought of a name yet?" Laura asks.

"I thought of one." (Y/N) tells her. "Ava."

"Finally." Raven groans. "A name that's not from a bird."

"Hold on. Ava comes from the Latin word 'avis', it means 'bird'."

Giving up, Raven puts her head down. "If you really want to name her after a bird, you can."

(Y/N) smirks triumphantly.

Later that night

Raven and (Y/N) sat in the living room after putting Laura to bed. Raven has her head on (Y/N)'s shoulder and he laid his head on hers.
