CHAPTER 5

Welcome to the Sorcery School

Smoke again appeared like mist… we’re heading to a place where I really belong. I thought of people acting weird like me. Imaginations filled my mind that relieved my numbness.

The travel stopped. I saw Ms Lee transformed … She now wears a long black dress that fits her tight with a veil hood covering her long black straight hair. I was surprised that she looked so pretty.

“Nice to be back!” she smiled.

“What happened to you Ms Lee? Is that really you?” I examined her with my wide eyes on her.

“This is the real me. I forgot to tell you. Ah, one more thing… I was the one who gave you to your mother.”

“What?! Why didn’t you tell her?” I curiously asked.

“She’ll not believe. My looks were in 40’s when I gave you to her.”

You’re really a witch!”

        “You too.” We both chuckled.

“So, how old are you?” I asked her with a high interest.

“You shouldn’t ask a lady about her age. But since we’re both ladies, I’m two thousand years old.”

“What did you say? How did it happen? You’re not looking old.” I was amazed.

        “I know, ‘cause I’m a witch… I’m immortal…like you.” She explained. “We’re almost there.”

        “What’s this place Ms. Lee?”

        “Just call me Sheryll…”

“All right, what’s this place Sheryll?”

“You’ll see…”

Together, we walked through a huge cave. Torches lightened the path. The ceiling was so high. The cave seemed unreal.

“I thought we’re going to a school?” Again I asked her while I looked around.

“Just keep going…” She smiled.

Then, I saw the light at the end of the cave. My heart beats fast until we reached the place…

I can’t believe to what scenery I am viewing right now. The whole place was bright even if it is afternoon. It is indeed the opposite place of what I thought. The people weren’t weird and scary. They’re just like normal. I saw one of the elders about forty years old walking on our way, approaching us.

“Sheryll!” he joyfully said, “You’re back.”

“Larius, I found her.” Sheryll held his arms.

        “Really?”

“Yeah, here she is. I rescued her before Dranae got her.”

        The man became serious, “Dranae?...”

        “Aradia sent him.”

I jumped in to the conversation, “Sheryll, is this the place you’re talking about?”

“Welcome to the Sorcery School, the school for young witches… we’ll teach you how to use your powers and put up spells!” Larius said with his encouraging voice. He smiled.

“I’ve seen this before… in my dream.” I said and smiled back at him.

“Because you’re meant to be here…” a voice said coming behind me.
