The Worst Nightmare Ever

        I was sitting in my bed, studying my lessons for the next day. I was reading a book about Stregheria.

        “At first, Aradia refused the power given by her father and joined the white witches. But her greediness led her to join the Black witches and accepted the offering. She inherited it and became the most powerful immortal but, there’s a prophecy stating:

        One of the white witches was more powerful than her. A child of a god will be born as the chosen one, who will defeat and destroy the troop of evil, and who will soon be declared as the ‘Greatest Sorceress’.

        But the book did not state whether this chosen one is a boy or a girl. Wait… Greatest Sorceress… that means, it is a girl. Is it me?

        I heard a loud knock.

        “Amy, can we talk?” It’s Albert’s voice. I got up hurriedly and opened the door.

        There’s a man standing in front of my room. He looks like Albert. But no… the man had pure black eyes. My heart thumbs. He stared at me angrily. It’s not Albert, he’s a black witch.

        “Who are you?” I asked with a trembling tone.

        “Don’t worry.” He said, smiling wickedly. “You don’t need to know because your life will be ended now!”

        He unsheathed his knife, its Albert’s. He aimed to stab me.

        I suddenly woke up. I realized it was just a dream. A worse dream… a nightmare. It’s four in the morning. I stared on my reflection in the mirror. I saw myself still scared. My hands still shook with terror.

        I opened the door and saw the evil man from my dream. I stepped back…

        “Go away!” I yelled.

        “Amy, what’s the problem?” he asked.

I blinked hard, now I can finally see better.

“Albert”? I asked.

“What’s wrong?” he asked. “Why are you scared?”

“Nothing” I said. “Why are you here? It’s so early.”

“Larius said that I’ll be your guide since you’re new here.

How about you? Why are you so early?”

“I just want to have a walk around.”

“I’ll come with you.”

“Thanks.”

“No need.” He said. “I’m the one who volunteered to be your guide.”

“Why?” I asked

“Like I’ve said I enjoyed being with you. So let’s go.”

I went with him out but I keep distance because he’s holding his knife. What if suddenly he pulls it and stabs me? I stopped walking.

 “What’s wrong?” he asked

“I had a dream” I said.

“Tell me.”

“I don’t -------”

“Okay if you don’t want to talk about it, it’s okay.” He said.

“But dreams have meanings. It’s usually a warning.”

“A warning. What if….. it’s bad?” I asked.

“Then be careful. What’s your dream?”

“Okay, I’m going to tell you. Maybe you can help me.”

“In my dream, while I was studying my lessons, I heard a knock. When I open the door I saw you. But not you exactly. In there, you had black eyes and looked like evil. Then you pulled your knife ----- the one that you’ve shown me--- and you’re going to stab me, but then I woke up.”

“That’s…… really bad.” He said. Usually I’ve heard the dreams of others but not as bad as yours.”

“So what does it mean?” I asked.

“I don’t know but be careful.”

“Does not mean I’m going to get far away from you? You’re going to kill me.”

“That’s not me!” he protested. “Besides why would I kill you?”

“I don’t know. But I’ve got a guess that you’re knife is the one that will kill me.

“I won’t do that.”

“Thanks. But don’t tell anybody about my dream. It’s a secret. Deal?”

“Deal.” He agreed.

“Come on.” He said. “I’m going to show you something.”

We kept on walking until we reached a boulder. Not a boulder. A cave.

“What’s in here?” I asked.

“I don’t know but I fell something magic coming from inside.”

“What do you want to do here?”

“Get inside.” He said “To discover what’s that something strange”.

I glanced inside; the pathway was lighted with torches even if it’s morning. It seemed like endless.

“So let’s go.” He said.

We’re ready to step forward, when the bell rang.

“It’s the start of the classes.  Let’s go. We’ll go here after the class in the afternoon.” He said.

We went back to the school. But I did feel some magic inside the cave. What could be inside the cave?
