~Third person POV (unless specified)~

Ash sighed softly as she got into the elevator and pressed the button for the lobby. When it finally got there the doors opened to Sal and Todd.
"Oh! Hey Ash!" Sal greeted and hugged her.
"Hey Sal..." Ash replied softly with her eyes downcast. She felt like she was gonna start crying, which wasn't normal for her.
Todd crossed his arms. "Ash what was that all about today? I'd expect that whole thing from Larry but you? What happened?"
Ash sighed. "I'll text you and tell you later, my dad's outside waiting for me."
Todd sighed and nodded. "Ok... Hopefully you don't get in to much trouble since this is the first time you really did anything."
"Yeah, hopefully." Ash said softly before shrugging off Sal and walking out the front doors.
"Was it just me or... Did something seem off about Ash?" Todd asked as he looked at Sal.
"Yeah, something was definitely off... We can ask her later I guess." Sal said softly as he watched Ash's figure walk out to her dad's car.

"I can't believe you got suspended Ashley. I was literally just telling my boss how you never got in any trouble when I got the call from the school then Ms. Johnson." Mr. Campbell went on as he drove.
"I'm sorry ok?" Ash said softly as she stared out the window.
"Ash... What's going on?" He asked softly and looked at her from the corner of his eye. "Whatever it is I'm sure I can he-"
"I wanna go stay with mom for a little while." She said quickly, cutting him off. "Is that something I can do? I mean... I am suspended for awhile and I could just switch schools for however long I'm there..."
He opened his mouth to say something against it but then closed it again. "If that's what you think will be best then yes." He said softly. "When do want to leave?"
"As soon as possible..." She said softly and continued looking out the window.

>A month later

Ash sighed as she walked into the apartments, she had been staying with her mom in the city for a month, she hadn't told Sal, Todd or Larry until she was already gone. Todd and Sal both messaged her back saying they'd miss her and to take her time. Larry left her on read and hadn't responded to the message for the entire month she had been gone.
"Ash!" Sal yelled as he opened the door of his apartment to see her standing there, and pulled her into a tight hug. "You're finally back! I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too!" She laughed as she hugged Sal back.
"C'mon! Let's go find Larry and Todd, they're outside somewhere." He said as he stepped out of the apartment and dragged Ash to the elevator. "They'll be so excited to see you!"
"I hope so... Larry never even messaged back when I told you guys I left..." She said softly as they got into the elevator.
"He didn't? I thought he did... He talked about it." He sighed. "I mean... He did kinda get upset about it but I didn't think he was THAT upset..."
Ash sighed softly as the elevator doors opened to the lobby and they stepped out. "Let's just hope he isn't still upset..."
