The Morning Of The Escape Day

Before Frostbite stands five dragons. Snowfall must've had a bad day. And bad things happen when she has bad days. Frostbite can only guess what she has to do today.

"Frostbite, in front of you stands five dragons. You will take on all five at once, and kill them all. You may use your powers. Simple." Snowfall smiles to herself, reading a letter. Maybe she had a good day.

Four dragons launch her way, but Frostbite fights them off with her tail and talons. These dragons aren't very well fighters nor are they as big and strong as Snowpuff so this should be easy.

One of the dragons launches at her, but Frostbite dashes forward and slits his neck. The corpse falls to the ground with an awful thud but Frostbite ignores it. She doesn't get weak in front of her mother, especially during a battle. She saves the guilt for afterwards.

The next dragon she kills by snapping her neck: she scratches Frostbite's underbelly, but only just a scratch. Frostbite turns on her and finishes her off, whirling over to her other side where two dragons lunge at her. She kicks one into the other and claws a long gash into one of them. She tackles the other female dragon, taking a few scratches as they fight. She manages to stab her in the heart with a shard of ice, then throws the body off her and stands.

There's only one more dragon left, but he doesn't look like he wants to fight.

"P-please..." silent tears fall down his face. This dragonet isn't as old as the other dragons. He looks almost Frostbite's age, maybe a bit older. He doesn't look quite an IceWing: he has RainWing ruffles and swirly horns. His stunning scales are covered with bruises.

Frostbite can't bring herself to hurt him.

"My family..." he looks up. "They need me."

Frostbite steps back. Family. She shakes her head, trying to clear out this awful feeling. Envy. But she can't kill him.

By this point, Snowfall has noticed something's wrong. Frostbite expects her to demand one of the guard's beat her, but Snowfall opens and closes her mouth. "I have to go. Frostbite, training is out for the day."

Woah. Training has never been let out early before...

Before Frostbite can really think about it, she's ushered away. Then she stops in her tracks. In a demanding tone, like Snowfall, she says "take him to his family."

The guard says, "I am sorry my princess, but you do not order us. Only the queen may."

Frostbite turns and looks the guard in the eye, her silver eyes piercing him. "Excuse me? I will be your queen someday. And I don't think the queen would like it if she found out you were disobeying my orders."

With that, the guard tells her the dragonet will be sure to be sent home.

And with that, Frostbite finds herself trapped in her bedroom again, hopefully the last time. But something's different this time.

This time, she's stressed out because in one hour, the plan starts.

Frostbite grabs her bag. Right now it's sundown, the perfect time to escape. She can get out while It's still light outside, but by the time she gets out to the tundra it'll be dark so only she can see. Since she's part SeaWing, she can see in the dark and has great hearing, plus she has light up scales. It's not hard to wonder why Snowfall picked to breed with a SeaWing.

Frostbite grabs her bag, putting it around her neck as if it's a necklace. She lays her prism necklace over it, sighing. Taking out her map, her painting, and her book, she wraps them in a ball of ice so the paper doesn't get wet.

This is gonna be a long night...

Frostbite distracts herself by going over the plan again.

Phase one: Frostbite uses her powers to create a diversion down the hall. Then she breaks the three locks and while they're still distracted she takes them down. Then she makes a run for the nearest window, which is in the library. (Frostbite spent a lot of time staring maps of the palace) Then she breaks it open and runs.

Phase two: by now someone has had to notice her trying to escape, so she'll try and fly to one of the markets. If that fails, she'll fly into a glacier or a river (talons crosses there is one) she may have to fight off some of the guards who will chase her.

Phase three: sneak out of the whole populated area of the Ice Kingdom. This may be tricky because it's so large, but Frostbite will find a way to make it out of sight and to the tundra as quick as possible.

Phase four: make it out of the Ice Kingdom and start the journey to the Sea Kingdom, staying in the dark and trying to be unnoticed. Nobody knows Snowfall even ever had a daughter, so she should not be recognized. (Hopefully.)

Frostbite quickly double checks her bag, nodding at all of the items inside and shifting her map to be easier accessible. She looks up, a powerful glint in her eye.

She embraces her powers, feeling through the ice walls, then opening her eyes with a smile.

A scream echoes through the hallway as a sudden wave of water crashes down on a guard.

It's begun.

Frostbite's escape has officially begun.

Hey guys, sorry about how long it took to get intense, there's just a lot to Frostbite's life and I wanted to explain most of it all so the rest of the story makes sense. Sorry about posting two days late, too, but I'm actually not sorry because I have a life and school and dance and homework and I'm often busy.

Anyways thanks for reading, have a good day.
