Alternate Ending
I woke up suddenly, the thoughts of my suicide ran through my mind. My eyes snapped open and I was met by a familiar smell and suddenly I gasped as I saw Ms. Susan yell at me to wake up.
"It's breakfast time." She stated before leaving and I felt like something was wrong? I looked at my body seeing the familiar hoodie and sweatpants. I couldn't believe it, how am I back in the orphanage? I ran to mirror and saw myself, bags under my eyes, my cheeks hollow and my body disgustingly skinny. It really is me, my eyes were just a scream of help, I noticed my crying was the cause of this.
It was all a dream?
I decided maybe it was sign that it was time to change. If this is the same day does that mean Demi will come today. I ran to my closet and picked out a new outfit, time to change and do it fast. I grabbed a t-shirt and jeans. I went into my bathroom for a shower, scrubbing myself raw. I got out and put on my clothes. I looked at my damaged face and the scars that were on my wrists like they were bracelets. I frowned and decided to open the mirror cabinet, digging deep trying to find something. I saw some foundation which didn't exactly matched my skin but it was good enough, I rubbed it onto my skin and they seemed to cover up. I left my hair as it was because it looked kind of pretty.
I bit my lip trying to bring some color into them, I left my room and saw Ms. Susan waiting for me. She looked a bit shocked as she saw me smile, actually a bit dressed up.
"What's gotten you so happy?" She asked and I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Why shouldn't I be happy? I woke up healthy this morning and I'm happy I did. Thank you very much." I said, walking past her down the stairs into the dining hall. I got my eggs and bacon and instead of sitting isolated, I saw the familiar green eyes across the dining hall with an empty seat beside him. I sat beside him and he looked up at my smiling face.
"Hello Drew." I said biting into the bacon strip, blinking slowly. He looked a bit shocked as well, but was interrupted by the familiar laughter of Addy Cambelle.
"Something funny Trollface?" I asked and her laughter stopped as her eyes narrowed, I raised an eyebrow in her direction, feeling Drew nudge my leg.
"Yeah something as ugly as you should stop sitting next to people like Drew." Addy replied and I rolled my eyes. I didn't want to stoop to her level.
"Yes well someone like you shouldn't be opening their mouth if the only thing that will come out of it is shit." I said taking a bite of my bacon strip, and taking a sip of my orange juice.
"Enough! No more cursing, Alison finish your breakfast upstairs!" Ms. Susan said and I shrugged, grabbing my three other bacon strips and walking upstairs. I went to the roof, just like I was supposed to happen but this time I was frowning I was happy and confident. I made it to the roof and looked down to the road.
That's when I saw Demi's car drive by and my jaw hit the ground. she was never supposed to come to the orphanage, it happened only in my dream. Maybe it's for the best, because I wouldn't have go through all that pain. My heart ached that Demi never came here, but I could listen to her music forever.
I went back downstairs after finishing my bacon strips, and my heart stopped as I saw the familiar face of Ryan. He looked just as he did when he kidnapped me, young. He saw me and smiled with two other men besides them.
"Well hello there." He said his eyes had the same glint of evil in it. My eyes widened, running away to my room but a moment later there was a knock on my bedroom door.
"Alison, guess who has a new family?" Ms. Susan said as my heart stopped.
No.
