Nineteen- Blood

I SAT AT A TABLE IN DEMI'S mansion-like hotel room. We were both eating spicy chips that left traces of red on my fingertips. We've been silent for a minute now, and Demi bit her lip, testing the waters before asking me a question.
"Do you..." She said and paused, looking at my features, like the question would harm me. I gave her a look to continue and she opened her mouth to speak again. "Do you remember anything? With this Ryan person."
I wasn't prepared for her question nor did I want to answer it with the harsh things I went through. So it was between the sweet memory or terrible nightmares.
"Good or bad?" I asked her, with a small smile even though nothing I knew about myself was that sweet.
"Both."
"Well, I guess it was a year and a half ago. For the first six months I stayed with Ryan he didn't give a damn about me." I said causing Demi to put on an angry expression, which I disregarded.
"It was mid-May and I was sleeping in the bed I was forced to sleep in with him..."
---
I snuggled into the sweet smelling sheets, they smelled like the little guava candies I used to love. It was my favorite scent, I wonder how Ryan knew I loved it.
Yesterday it smelled of him, his cologne. A smell I detested since the moment I was thrown over his shoulder on Day One.
I decided I couldn't hide in these fluffy white sheets forever, so I got out of the bed looking towards the balcony doors. The curtains were drawn, giving me a beautiful view of the pool and the neighbors house.
I walked towards the balcony doors and slid the glass door, stepping out. I glanced the the neighbors house to see a group of boys sitting next to their house pool. Along with the boy who lived in the big house.
He knew about everything, I knew he did.
In these few months whenever I stepped on the balcony I saw that boy, who glanced at me and bit his lip. He knew the tortures I went through in this house, the time I was locked out in the cold and cried trying to keep warm in my tank top, and he climbed over the fence to give me his hoodie.
He glanced up and saw me, I wanted to turn my face so he wouldn't see my bags from the tears I shed at night. Maybe it was a cry for help, for him to free me.
He couldn't help, no one can. I'm cursed to stay here forever.
I turned away and made my way downstairs, hearing a chopping noise along with what sounded like meat being cut open. I slowly tiptoed to the kitchen, the chopping stopped and utter silence was heard. I turned around knowing something bad was about to happen and tried to make my way up the stairs.
Suddenly someone yanked me back by my hair causing me to scream in agony, something wet and cold touched my neck.
"What are you doing up? I have a guest over." Ryan snapped and I tried to swallow the lump in my throat.
"Ryannnnnn where are yooooou?" A feminine voice said and I rolled my eyes.
"Stay put or I kick your ass out." He snapped to her and I heard a giggle. he put his mouth near my ear again.
"Go out to the back and don't come in until I get you." Ryan said removing the knife from my neck and I touched it seeing red, seeing the knife covered red blood.
