Everyday Unordinary Life

"Wow, it's certainly colder than usual..." I mumble to myself as I button up my uniform to keep the heat in. As is standard issue for people of the north we all wear very heavy clothing to combat the near arctic temperatures here in the north. My girls were somewhat of an exception as some of them wore lighter than normal, but I couldn't blame them as they were practically impervious to the cold. I on the other hand am not, and my uniform consists of a very heavy, wool lined coat, similarly designed pants, steel tipped boots and a fleece shirt that could resist lots of pulling and snagging. A komandir's cap sat on my head discreetly secured with a well placed band to stop it from blowing off when the winds were intense, completing the whole look. I had seen the end of many battles, not including the ones we fought with the sirens, and as such I had many medals decorating my heavy coat, and should the need arise I have a heavily modified AK-47 slung by my side. Thanks to the sirens' tinkering this ordinary kalashnikov now fires plasma shots instead of normal lead rounds, and with the magazine turned into a practically endless battery compartment I could keep on shooting this thing until judgement day.

Ever since the agreement and the trading with the sirens life here in the north has been very quiet and at the same time lively. As of now I am in my office looking through some documents that the higher ups left for me, taking care not to knock the rather tall hat that's also sitting on my desk.

"Still knocking those out I see? Just as I expected of our komandir." A voice chuckles as a girl, the owner of said tall hat on my desk and my secretary, walks in. She sports an outfit somewhat similar to mine, with her heavy jacket masking most of her clothing underneath and just barely hiding her heeled boots that she is wearing, she has long, snow white hair and menacing red eyes that look like portals to hell, but her smile betrays the fearsome glare as she walks over to my desk and looks at the documents that I have been working on. "You would think that by now you wouldn't be getting any at all."

"Well, life can throw curveballs at you like that Rossi." I reply. Her real name is Sovetskaya Rossiya but since that's a real mouthful I simply call her Rossi, something she doesn't mind at all.

"Say... What is that?" Rossi asks as she looks at one of the documents that I have yet to look at. I immediately fish this one out and take a look at it for myself. I read through it a few times before realizing what the document entails, and I come close to gagging as does Rossi.

"Clearly someone has mistaken you for something else..." I grumble. "I swear some of my fellow komandirs only think with their little man..."

"I can't help but agree." Rossi replies as she brings out one of her riggings and the jaws quickly snap up the document, shredding it to pieces. "That should answer his question."

"Thanks." I chuckle. "Anything interesting going down in the common room?"

"Well there has been talk of hosting a little party." Rossi says. "They want to get your approval though as there's going to be lots of vodka there."

"We have enough to last a whole decade, I think we can splurge a little on our stores." I reply. "But let's make sure we don't get too drunk."

"Of course." Rossi chuckles as I work through the last of the documents. With everything said and done I decide to head out into the common room where some of the others are simply kicking back on the couches or standing about having friendly banter. "Hey girls, our komandir's here." Rossi announces. The first one to turn around and acknowledge me is a girl who sports a tall wool cap, a fairly light outfit consisting of a long dress, pantyhose and tall boots and has her long white hair in twin braids. Her crystal blue eyes meet with my mellow brown ones and she looks at me happily.

"I'm glad to see that you've finally come out of your office for once." She giggles. This was Avrora, the first of the group to come under my command. She's been with me through thick and thin and she was the only one that declined to have her rigging upgraded, instead relying on her tactics and skill to outsmart the enemy. The next one to face me sports a peaked cap much like the one I wear that covers some of her blue hair and she dresses very lightly as her outfit consists of a short dress, pantyhose and fur lined heeled boots. Her lilac eyes gaze into mine with intentions that I'm not sure about and she gets up and walks over.

"It's good to see you out of the office." She says as she gets close. "How come you don't spend time with us girls?"

"I'm busy you know?" I reply. This was Chapayev, the second girl to come under my command. She was pretty eccentric and flirty but otherwise she has proven herself to be a formidable fighter. Because of her flirty nature though, she and Avrora sometimes liked to team up to see who could make me blush the most...

"Oi! I'm not sure if he really wants you that close!" A beefy sounding voice calls out, and I turn to see Gangut, who has already stood up and is trying her best to stifle a laugh. She dresses somewhat similarly to Chapayev, albeit with a tight fitting skirt as opposed to Chapayev's more flared, and Gangut wears a long coat to go with the rest of her outfit. Her long white hair is messy and she has red eyes like Rossi, but she was never one to back down from a fight, even if said fight could cost her life. She was the third alongside Rossi to come under my command. "I got you comrade."

"Thanks." I chuckle as Gangut keeps Chapyev busy long enough for me to take a spot on the couch, not knowing someone was already sitting there.

"Oh hello there komandir." A soft voice says. I turn to my right to see a girl with magenta hair kept back with a rabbit ear headband and she wears a long coat hiding a turtleneck dress paired with thigh high boots. Her milky blue eyes innocently look at me with worry. "Are you okay?"

"I'm alright, don't worry." I chuckle. This was Tashkent, the last to come under my command. She was kinda shy but eventually as we battled she came to warm up to me and the others and before we knew it she was drinking as much vodka as we were. "Didn't you all say you were going to be planning a party? Let me chime in!" And with that the girls shared their ideas along with a date to throw said party.
