Just when we thought we had a break, something completely crazy comes up... and during summer vacation of all times....... Have you ever kept a secret? Have you ever held a secret to yourself for so long that you almost seem to forget about it? I have left one secret in the dark for too long. That secret..? You'll have to read and find out. It's time for my story about the encounter with The Doctor.... actually two of them.

It is towards the end of May, and the second-semester exams are over and done. Since my friend, Cassidy, and I had religion together last period, we had that exam together. After the test was over, we packed our things... ready for summer vacation. My parents and Cassidy's parents both approached us when we were by my locker.

My mom whispered in my ear, "You ready for a trip of a lifetime?"

"What trip? What is going on?!" I asked, not whispering into her ear.

"We just got done talking with Cassidy's parents to get their permission for her to come along with us... to London."

"LONDON?! Are you serious?!" Cassidy and I both said.

"We're serious, alright." My mom replied.

"We were working hard this year, and so we decided to head somewhere outside the U.S. for a change. We're spending a week there, and we leave tomorrow afternoon." My dad added.

"Come find us when you're ready to leave, Melissa." My mom told me as she, my dad, and Cassidy's parents walked away toward the cafeteria.

"I can't believe we're going to London!" Cassidy said, excited. "What are we doing there?"

"Don't know. We'll see when we get there." I replied. We talked a little more about what we knew about London, then we walked down the hall to our respective parents. We both went to our homes to pack and sleep for the night.

The next day, my parents and I did our usual routine for the morning when no one is at work... so breakfast, take care of other business and checking to see if we have everything for our flight to London. It was about nine in the morning when we left the house. We picked up Cassidy at her home then drove to the airport in Chicago. The flight left at eleven that morning. The seats were across from each other in rows. My parents sat with each other, and I sat with Cassidy. On the flight, my parents slept, and Cassidy and I did non-stop run on Doctor Who until the iPad "died." We then discussed what we saw... The Ninth Doctor, Rose, the insane Daleks.... The Tenth Doctor... The creepy cat people.

"Yeah.... those kitties were creepy... in a bad way." I said after that episode.

"Pretty much.... what was up with the Ninth Doctor and bananas?" Cassidy asked.

"No idea... likes bananas, I guess."

"You don't think those things could actually happen?"

"I think the probability of us seeing a blue police box on a street corner that is bigger on the inside with a funny alien driving is extremely thin... probably impossible."

"Can't help seeing him in your dreams, though."

"That's the closest you're probably going to get to meeting the Doctor and traveling with him." The rest of the flight was us sleeping. When the plane landed in London, it was around five in the evening (U.S. times used for ease). We settled in the hotel and goofed around until nine at night, and then we went to bed.

The next morning, at nine, we got up, did our routine, and had breakfast at the hotel. We all decided to go on a shopping spree, so we drove to an area with multiple shops nearby. My parents allowed Cassidy and I to go on our own to do more shopping and activities, as long as we got back to the hotel by seven that night. Cassidy and I both had cash on us so we could shop and eat wherever. Once we looked around the shops, Cassidy and I went back to the hotel to drop our things off in our room. We went back outside and walked for about two miles.... then we heard a familiar sound.

"You hear that?" I asked Cassidy.

"Yeah! I hear it... no way that could be the TARDIS!" Cassidy replied. We ran for a few yards before we looked down a wide alley, seeing the familiar blue box.

"It is the TARDIS!" We both said. We approached it and looked around at the same time. There was no sign of The Doctor.

"Maybe he left already," I said. Just then, we heard another sound.

"The TARDIS is here... what's doing that?" Cassidy asked.

"Let's investigate!" I said. We went for another couple blocks and looked down a different alley to see.... another Tardis?!

"Two TARDISes?! Now, this makes no sense." Cassidy said.

"If two Doctors are here at the same time, it's gotta be important," I replied.

"Prevent an alien invasion or something?"

"Something like that."

"Are we ever going to bump into them?"

"With how big the city is... no idea."

"We have time. Let's look around."

"We'll get exercise too!" We walked about London for miles without seeing either one of the Doctors. Before we thought to head back to the hotel, I tripped on something. I go back to see what I tripped on, and there was something on the ground. I picked it up... and it looked like a sonic screwdriver.

"Coincidence, you tripped on that," Cassidy said.

"Yeah, this looks like the screwdriver that the Ninth Doctor has," I replied.

"Is it real?"

"We'll have to try it on something... like a locked door." We walked for a bit longer, searching for the Doctors as usual... then my head started hurting.

"Is there a bench nearby?" I said, under my pain. We sat on the closest bench, and I was holding my head with both hands with my face looking down. I started seeing images in my head.

"Melissa, are you okay?" I heard Cassidy ask me.

"Give me a second... I got images going through my head." I replied. I saw myself walking from the bench to double doors in an alley. The doors opened, and there were a bunch of rooms in front of me. It jumped forward, and I saw someone in a jail cell... the face was fuzzy, so I couldn't see who it was. The image jumped again, and I saw myself in a big, dark room. In front of me, a spotlight turned on, and I saw someone tied up on a torture table thing. Again, I couldn't see who it was. All of a sudden, I heard a familiar line...

"EXTERMINATE!!" Then the images faded, and the pain stopped.

"Melissa! What did you see?" Cassidy asked.

"....Daleks are real...." I said under heavy breaths.

"What?!"

"Uh... I can actually show you. Come on." We ran for a half a mile then we came upon the double doors that I saw.

"There... that's the first thing I saw." I said as we approached the doors.

"Doors?" Cassidy asked.

"There's more... no worries." Just then, my phone rang. "Yello?"

"Melissa, where are you?" It was my mom.

"Mom, we're fine. We're just a few miles from the hotel. We just have to check something out... we may be a little late getting back..."

"Just be back by tomorrow morning... Don't get into any trouble."

"We won't. Bye, Mom." I hung up the phone and put it in my pocket.
