You were a bit nervous since you were going to have your name called to pick up your diploma. Just the idea of walking on a stage to get your diploma felt weird. People staring, cameras flashing, and having to be stuck in a ridiculous cap and gown. You were happy that they let you sit wherever you choose, because you sat beside Damian. You were happy that the graduation robe was hiding the formal casual attire you had on. Damian was still looked handsome as ever. He could be in anything and still be hot.
"(Y/N) Harper." The principal said your name. You stood up and shook the instructors' hands and then the principal's hand. He handed you your diploma and congratulated you. You smiled and took your diploma, then you went to sit down. More names were called and finally Damian's name was called. He got up, shook hands, but he had to go to the podium. He was valedictorian and they wanted him to speak, just a small speech.
Damian put on this fake soft face, you could tell and so could his family. He hated doing things like this. He felt it was too much for just a piece of paper that said you passed high school.
"Thank you all for coming to Gotham Academy High School's graduation ceremony. My name is Damian Wayne, the son of that guy right there." He motioned to Bruce. "Bruce Wayne."
Bruce smiled at some people.
"I am not used to giving speeches, unlike my dad. So I didn't get that trait" Damian said.
The crowd and class laughed a bit at that. It was cute.
"This high school is a great high school." He said. "It offers a lot of opportunities and the staff work well with the students. I was inspired by quite a few people to do great in my classes. Of course my dad, my brothers, Mr. Alfred Pennyworth, my friends, and my best friends." He said.
You smiled at the sound of that.
"I had two best friends, sadly we lost one. He was the more outgoing and friendly out of all of us. We were all devastated and sad when we without him. I still had one best friend who stuck by my side and I was there for her. Won't lie, before we became friends we were pretty much enemies."
The parents laughed.
Damian glanced over you. "Honestly, I don't know what would have happened if I didn't have her." Damian said with a smile. "We grew a lot closer and I finally asked her out."
You blushed and hid your face as the crowd awed.
"I better stop with bragging about her because her face is red now." Damian said with a chuckle. The crowd laughed at that too. "Anyhow I think Gotham Academy has a lot to offer. My brothers went here and so did I. They all were bunch of show offs and still are." He grumbled that into the microphone.
"Boo!" Dick called putting a thumbs down. He was teasing him.
Damian chuckled. "Yeah you are gonna regret that later." He joked.
The crowd was loving his speech and so were you. This guy was pretty good when it came to speaking to crowds, but with anyone else he despised it.
"Well a big thanks to the staff of the school and thank you for all coming out." He ended his speech like that. Damian looked at you and smiled. He walked over to you and hugged you.
"I now give you this years graduates!" The principal said. You all moved your tassels over and whooped.
Soon you were free to leave. Will, Roy, Artemis, Lian, Oliver, and Dinah were there. You hugged them all. Damian got side hugs from his family since he didn't really like hugs, unless if they were from you. Dinah pointed to you two. "A photograph of you two. A few of them." Dinah said.
You two stood normally as he wrapped his arm around you, one of him kissing your cheek, one where you kissed his cheek, and then the last one was you two kissing.
"Send me those" Dick begged.
"I will." Dinah said laughing.
You smiled when you were told that everyone was going back to the Wayne manor to celebrate.
"Yes." You said happily.
The others chuckled. Damian grabbed your hand and decided to drive you back to his place. When you both were in, he blasted some music and you cheered because he was playing some kick ass music. You tossed that robe and cap into the back. Damian did the same before he put on his seat belt. You put your seat belt and he drove to the manor. Roy, just him in his Hummer was beside you your side. Dick was in a lane away from Damian's side. Jason pulled up in the lane between Damian and Dick.
Jason revved his bike and smirked.
Damian smirked and you looked at him. "Are you seriously going to?"
Roy revved his engine then Dick did the same, then Damian revved his. Then it was a race between you all. Thank god not many people were not heading the direction you were all goinf, because you all sped past the speed limit.
"So much damn testosterone." You joked.
"Maybe, but I got a hot girlfriend in the passenger side, so there is some estrogen in the car. Balances it out." Damian said as he increased his car's speed. He carefully cut off Jason and made a drift turn. He got the car back to being straight and kept going. Dick was hot on your tail.
"He's in your blind spot now." You warned Damian.
Damian chuckled. "Not for long." He went faster. You two could see the gates of the manor and when you least expected it, Roy passed you all. His engine was blaring.
"How?!" Damian asked.
You scoffed. "Fucking asshole bought a new engine. I was wondering what he was working on for a long time."
Roy parked and smirked. Damian parked second, then Jason and Dick parked at the same time. Damian shut the car off and got out. You followed him and shut the door.
"You got the new engine didn't you Roy? You replaced the old one with a sports one."
Roy smiled. "Yep."
"Cheater." You said.
"Not true. Just didn't tell you."
You rolled your eyes.
You and the whole family had a blast at the small home party. You decided to head home with Roy for the night, but you and Damian texted all night long. Even if he was on patrol, he was still texting you.
Dick chuckled as he watched Damian. "Damian... it is like eleven at night. You both had to go to the graduation at eight in the morning. That is over twelve hours. Don't you think she is tired?"
"No." Damian said as he kept texting you.
Dick smiled. "You really love her. You two passed the puppy love stage, but damn you two are like a couple of newlyweds."
Damian sat there in deep thought.
Dick noticed Damian's facial expression. "Damian as much as I want you two to get married, I would wait. At least until three fourths into college or after college."
Damian looked at him. "Why?"
"Because you two are still young and you both need to experience more." Dick said. "Not only that, but I don't know if she would up fo it so fast. You two have a strong friendship, but you two have only dated for three months."
Damian sighed and nodded. "Okay."
"You are a great guy Damian, just you have to relax a bit more."
Damian nodded and went back to focusing on patrol. He kept his focus on patrol and you fell asleep. You two weren't clingy to the point that you would flip out on one another if you hadn't spoken to one another in a while. You two were more laid back and more trusting to one another. Around two in the morning he texted you.
It woke you up but didn't make you upset. The brightness blinded you though. Fucking phone! Even if it was on the "lowest light" setting, it still butned your eyes. You opened the text and he told you: "Good night, Beloved. Will I see you tomorrow?"
"Yes you will and I love you too." You sent back to him.
