It was November already. November 1st, to be exact. Today was Will and Roy's birthday. Artemis, was taking Lian for the night so the guys could have their own night to themselves. Jason, Dick, and Tim were taking them out to a bar tonight. You were setting up a small birthday bash before the two would leave with the other guys. You had bought sheet cakes. One sheet cake for your brothers. So no one was going to be left out on cake. For sure there would be leftovers. You also got a lot of ice cream and had to drive the SUV to bring all this home.

The boys were still asleep and you smiled. You set up everything and stocked the fridge with a few beers. What? You didn't steal them. (F/N) worked at the store you usually went to, you paid for them, and she pretended to check your ID. So it was a fair trade.

You cooked their favorite breakfast and soon here came two guys with sleepy eyes. They looked the same, except their hair. They both had sweatpants on and they sat down at the island. You chuckled. "Morning birthday boys." You said.

"Did you do all of this?" Will asked looking around, he pointed to a small banner that said Happy Birthday and all the food.

"Yep." You said proudly.

"It sucks." Roy said jokingly.

"The no cake, ice cream, and beer for you." You said.

"I was just joking." Roy said.

"Good." You said.

Hours had passed it was three in the afternoon. Tim, Dick, and Jason were now over. They were all eating cake and watching their favorite sports. You were watching the sports channel for a bit, until you grew bored. You began to contemplate if you should get started on throwing away trash. The thought of having to get up and clean made you groan a bit. Finally you got up and started to clean up the house. The guys were being wild and you had a beer of your own, just one. You kept checking your phone to see if Damian would text back.

It had been a week since you two last talked, but you gave him that whole week to himself. You weren't going to be that girl who keeps blowing a guy's phone up every day. Sometimes people didn't want to be bothered. You were kind of disappointed that you hadn't talked to your best friend very much. Yeah he would talk with you at school, but nothing fun anymore. There wasn't much of that friendship spark that you two used to have. Now it wasn't the first time Damian had ghosted you for a while, but he would come around a lot sooner. This time... it didn't feel like it was like his normal behavior.

You were tossing used paper plates into the trash and you felt a presence behind you. You looked over your should and it was Tim. He had a beer in his hand and he could see you weren't feeling up to much today.

"Something happen between you and Damian?" Tim asked.

You shrugged. "I have no clue. I don't remember us having an argument."

"He should come around again. I am sure he is just moody." Tim said.

You smiled a hopeful smile.

The other boys yelled a cheer from the living room. This made Tim run it to see what he missed. You heard your phone ding and you checked who it was. It wasn't Damian, but it was someone you hadn't seen in forever. That childhood crush you had since you first laid eyes on him. Jon Kent, Superman's son, and he was Damian's other best friend. You were about to respond, but he called you instead. You answered and smiled. "Hi Jon."

"Hi (Y/N). How are you doing?" He asked. Oh his voice was a lot deeper than it was 3 years ago.

"Good. How about you?" You were blushing and biting your bottom lip a bit.

"Great. Actually I was going to enroll in a college not too far from Gotham." Jon was just one year older than you and he had graduated. "So I was hoping maybe you would want to hang out. Mind me stopping by tomorrow?" He asked.
