Chapter 3 : A Trainee

Yeoju's POV

I was pretty shocked on hearing that my name was announced. I couldn't believe it. I became teary. I walked slowly to the front. All the other participants, including the selected ones also, clapped for me. I went and stood beside Yena.

I finally got selected! I still couldn't believe it. It was totally unbelievable! Now I'm finally selected by an entertainment company. It meant a lot for me.

I was so happy that tears rolled down my cheeks without me knowing it. Yena saw me and hugged me. I kept on sobbing while he patted my back.

"Congratulations to all the participants. From now on you'll get training from our judges and from you 25, only 8 of you will finally get to debut in the new group. Now you all have become trainees under KQ Entertainment," the anchor concluded.

The judges also congratulated us. The other participants looked sad and some of them were crying because they didn't get selected. They represented the old me.

But now I'm a trainee under KQ Entertainment. I'll have to work harder from now on.

I'm going to debut! No one can stop me!

The judges gave us some instructions on how the training would go. We were also instructed that we would be living in a dorm starting from the day after. We were also told not to tell anybody outside that how we are trained and all. Not even our parents.

When the judges and the anchor left, I jumped and hugged Yena. She was also happy like me.

"We're finally trainees!" I said, not able to control my happiness.

Then a girl comes and congratulates us. "Congrats!" We too did the same. She seemed older than us but looked kind.

"Uh my name is Lee Yujin. See you around."

"I'm Choi Yena and she's Kim Yeoju." Yena introduced us as I didn't talk to strangers that quickly. We bowed to her before she left.

I think it wouldn't be that difficult to get along with the other girls.

We went out of the huge building and headed back to our house.

"Woah! I still can't believe it!" I said.

"Mee too. I'm so happy!" I nodded. "Ah, right! What about we eat ice cream to celebrate it?" Yena eagerly looked at me, waiting for my reply.

"Okay!" I showed a thumbs up.

We went to a convenience store to buy ice creams for us. As Yena was looking for our favorite flavors of ice cream I thought to buy some snacks. I went to the snacks section and searched for our favorite snacks. Then I heard someone calling my name.

"Yeoju?"

I turned to my right to see who it was. Then I saw a familiar face.

"Sannie!" I went to him and hugged him. He too hugged me back and patted my head.

He takes care of me as if I'm a little kid, even if I'm of the same age as him.

"You look happy today. Did something good happen?" San asked.

"Oh yes! I finally got selected in your company." I flashed a big smile.

"Jjinjja?! Daebak! Congrats Yeoju!... How about we celebrate it together?"

"Yena too got selected and we came here to buy something for us." As I was saying this Yena came and stood beside me.

"Yeoju, I brought this... Oh, San! You're also here to celebrate with us?" she asked as we looked at her.
