Chapter 4 : I'm So Tired

Yeoju's POV

We packed our things in our luggage and were ready to leave. Yena came to my home to pick me up. We both did our breakfast in my home itself.

"Fighting!" Mom said and cheered us up.

I was sad because I would be staying away from my family for a while. I hugged my mom before sitting in the cab.

"You both can do it. I'll watch you on TV. I know you two will debut. Goodbye~ Take care~" Mom said as I tried not to cry but tears rolled down my cheeks.

We finally sat in the cab and went to the venue. I was happy and sad at the same time.

We reached the building. I saw the logo 'KQ Entertainment' and took a deep breath.

I'll become an idol under this company one day!

We entered the building. We were given the directions to where we would be staying. We were to stay at the dorm for some months since they were going to train us.

We kept our luggages in our respective rooms. Luckily we both, me and Yena, got the same room with two other girls.

Our roommates were Kim Chaerin and Lee Yujin. They were very friendly and I didn't feel awkward around them. We got along really quick with each other.

We also received our uniforms. It looked like this :

We quickly washed up, changed into our new uniforms and went to the practice room. All the other trainees were there too. We stood there and waited for the trainers to come.

After sometime, Ms Kim came into our room and greeted us. We too did the same.

"Okay. We'll start from now on. I'll teach you a choreography and you'll have to learn it quickly," Ms. Kim announced.

I already felt nervous as I wasn't good at dancing. So I thought that it wouldn't be easy for me. I sighed and started to do the steps that she was teaching us.

Some of the girls picked up the steps quickly including Yena. I was still struggling with them as always.

Ms. Kim came to me and taught me the steps personally. "You need to do it like this." And I tried to do it like her. "Okay good," she told and I sighed internally.

In a few hours we learnt the full choreography. Now we had to do it all by ourselves. Ms. Kim played the music and we tried to do as she taught us.

We did it together for five - six times. Yes, there were some girls who couldn't do it properly like me.

"Okay...Chaewon, Yeoju, Soojin and Minah come to the front. Others may sit down at the back," Ms. Kim said and we did as we were told.

"You all are not doing the choreo- graphy well so you four need to practice more on the dancing. Understood?" Ms. Kim said and I was a bit terrified because she seemed a little angry on us.

"Yes." We all said it together.

She played the music. I was trying hard to get the choreography right. Six - seven times we were told to practice the choreography. I was so tired in the last but I tried not to show it.

"Okay you all may take a break now," she said and left the room. I sat on the floor and sighed. Yena came and sat beside me.

"I'm so tired." I was still panting.

"The choreography is difficult but I think you can do it with more practice...You can do it!" She cheered me up and I gave her a weak smile.

After the break, we were to practice the choreography by ourselves. Others were practicing by themselves and some of them were practicing in groups of two or three.

I told Yena to teach me the part which I was not getting. "Yena can you help me to do this part? I'm still not getting it."

"Look. You have to bow like this and turn you leg like this..." She started explaining the steps.

I quickly picked up the steps after Yena taught me. The thing which a friend can explain very well can't be explained by anyone else, isn't it?

"I learnt the full choreography! Thank you so much Yena. Love you~" I hugged her.

"I'm glad that I was able to teach you," she said and smiled sheepishly.

It was lunch time soon. We all went to the cafeteria which was inside the building itself. We sat together and enjoyed the lunch. The lunch was mainly fruits, a bowl of rice and a side dish. We ate and left for practice.

We had to practice all day till we did it perfectly. The life of a trainee is not that easy. You have to just go on and on and on again.

Yeah, bring the pain on.

We all practiced together for the last time before going to our rooms. Eunbin unnie played the music and we started to practice again. I improved a bit and was motivated. I felt that I could do it now.

"I can do it!" I said to myself.

We finally went to our respective rooms after the long hours of practice. I took a shower and after that we all chatted for sometime before going to bed.

"It was a tiring day today," Chaerin said and I nodded.

"Tomorrow we have our vocal training," Yujin unnie reminded us.

"I'm a rapper so I think it would be difficult for me," Yena said.

"Girls cheer up! We can do it! We have to debut right?" I said and looked at them with a smile.

"Yes we can do it!" We all said in unison.

My journey to become an idol has finally started. I can't give up now. I can do it! I'll surely debut one day!

There were some references from 'BTS - On'. I'm an Army so...why not. So, yeah this is a life of a trainee. I got inspired from 'Produce X 1O1' series and wrote it.
