I search around the large house, looking for Kirishima. According to some people I've asked, he's been in a few different places. At some point, he was in the kitchen, then he was on the dance floor, and now he should be in the basement. Apparently, there's some game tables and stuff down there. He's probably playing some dumb game.
I locate the basement door and head down the stairs. The basement is another modern looking room. It has some speakers and couches, along with those game tables someone was talking about. Who told me that again? Oh well.
I finally find Kirishima playing a game with Raccoon Eyes. I walk up behind him, not saying a word. I look at the table, seeing an array of cups. Most of them are empty, but some still have beer in them. So he's playing beer pong? How many times has he played? "Oi, Kirishima." I say, tapping him on the shoulder. He turns around. "Oh! Hey Suki, there you are!" he says, slinging his arm around my shoulder. It hurts a little, but I don't say anything. "I lost you when we first came in, where'd you go?" he asks. "Where'd I go? I was right where you left me!" I yell. He laughs a little. "Aha, whoops..." We both look at Raccoon Eyes, who perfectly land a ping pong ball into one of the full cups. Kirishima groans. "Again?" He picks up the cup and drinks the entire thing. "Man, why's the apple juice here taste so weird??" he questions. Are you fucking kidding me.
"Kirishima, do you actually think that's apple juice?" I ask. He nods his head. "Yeah, isn't it?" I slap my forehead. "No, no Kirishima. That's beer. How many cups have you had?" I ask. He looks down at the table, then to Raccoon Eyes. She shrugs her shoulders, then counts with her fingers. "I think we've played, like, five rounds??" she says. I take a deep breath. "Ok, I think that's enough for you." I say, dragging him away. "What?? But we haven't even finished this game!!" Kirishima whines. "You probably had like ten beers, Kirishima! You're not getting black out drunk on me, or I'm not gonna take you home! I'll leave your ass here!" I yell. "NooOOoOOO..." Kirishima whines again. I drag him up the stairs to the kitchen, where I grab a water bottle. "Drink this. You'll feel better." I say, turning back to Kirishima, who's throwing up in a trash can. I squint my eyes. God dammit.
I walk up behind him and pat him on the back. "... There, there?" I say. Once he's finished, I hand him a napkin and the water. "Thanks." he says. I shake my head. "I told you you needed to stop drinking." I scold. He glares at me while he sips on the water, then sticks his tongue out at me. I sigh, then take his wrist in my hand. "Come on, we're going somewhere private. I got something to ask you." I say. Kirishima's entire face turns red, and he starts stuttering. "W-W-Wha- H-HUH?!"
I bring him upstairs to one of the rooms. As soon as I close the door and lock it, I realize how weird this seems. I turn back to Kirishima, who's now taking off his shirt. I blink a few times.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" I yell. He looks around nervously. "I thought we were gonna..." he trails off. He thought we were gonna fuck. I swear to god. I slap my forehead. "My god, no. That's not what I want to ask you." I say, grabbing his shirt and helping him put it back on.
Once we got that taken care of, I take Kirishima's hands and hold them in my own. "U-Um..." I stutter. "I... wanna ask you something. And you better listen, because I'm not saying it twice!" I say. He nods. I take a deep breath.
"D-Do you wanna... be my... uh..." I say, trailing off. Shit, this is easier when you're imagining it. Kirishima tilts his head. I take another deep breath. "Kirishimadoyouwanttobemyboyfriend?" I quickly say. That was awful. Kirishima looks really confused. "What'd you say?" he asks. "N-Never mind!" I say, walking away towards the window. "Wha- That's not fair! You said it really quick! How was I supposed to hear that?!" he complains. I groan.
"Look, all I wanted to ask is if you wanted to be my boyfriend, now drop it, I said never mind!!" I yell. Oh shit. I quickly cover my mouth with my hands.
Kirishima looks surprised, yet again. It looks like he's trying to process what I just said. "L-Look, just forget it." I say, still hoping maybe he didn't hear me. Then he smiles. That bright, wide, shark-looking, beautiful smile. "No." I say. "Don't look at me like that." I say, now scowling. He bounces over to me. He takes both of my hands and intertwines our fingers together. "I'd love to!" he says, still smiling. Both of our faces are bright red. We're also really close to each other. "Y'know, I wanted to ask you when we went out for that date, but... yeah." he says. I blink a few times. So Headphone Jack was correct all along. I smile at Kirishima. He seems surprised by it. "What, are you surprised that I'm smiling?" I laugh. His face turns more red. "N-No, I just haven't really seen you smile." he says, still holding my hands.
I lean in closer to Kirishima and kiss him on the lips. "That's pretty dumb." I say. His face is now the same color as his hair. "Well, we still have a lot of time left before everyone at this party starts dropping like flies." I say, releasing only one of my hands from his. He tilts his head. "Drop like flies? You mean people DIE during house parties?!" he asks, scared. I squint my eyes at him. "What? No? I mean everyone's going to start passing out from all the beer and shit they've been drinking." I say, bring him towards the door. "Oh..." he says, revealing people weren't going to be dying.
I then feel a burning sensation on my wrist. I look down to it. Kirishima also looks at his.
10-1.
"Huh?" I murmur. "Did your date change again?" I ask. He nods, holding his own wrist to show me.
10-12
"... Why did the date change?" I question. I quickly walk out into the hall. There's no out of place screaming or yelling. "What the hell did you make me avoid...?" I say to no one in particular. Kirishima comes out of the room. "Maybe you were supposed to get hurt or something just now?" he suggests. I nod. "It seems like that, but that doesn't answer the question of-"
Just in the middle of my sentence, people start screaming downstairs. That's not screams of joy. Kirishima notices them too, and runs to the window at the end of the hallways that faces the entrance to the house. I follow him, looking out the window. People are flooding out of the building. "What the hell is going on here...?"Suddenly, there's a loud booming voice from downstairs. "WHERE IS BAKUGOU KATSUKI?!" I jump at the sound of my name. Kirishima shakes his head. "Well, that's definitely not a way we can get out." he says under his breath. I turn back to the window. "What if we jump out?" I say. Kirishima looks back at me, then out the window to the ground. It's not that far of a fall, but it could still be possible to hurt yourself. "Do we really have a choice?" he murmurs. I hear loud footsteps coming up the stairs. I quickly open the window and break through the screen, then start pushing Kirishima towards it. "Go, I'll be right behind you." I say. "Wha- Katsuki-" I push him out the window before he can finish his sentence. I turn back around to the person who was coming up the stairs.
It's a tall man, who seems to be about in his forties. I've never seen him before. "Who the hell are you??" I ask the man. He grins. "Someone from the league of villains. I'm here to kill you." he says. I feel a chill crawl up my spine. "What, were you the guy who shot me the other day?" I ask. He nods. Welp, that settles it. I'm definitely wanted dead.
"Well, you see, there's a problem with you wanting to kill me." I say, shrugging my shoulders. "I just got myself a boyfriend. And I don't plan on dying just yet." I smile, then quickly throw myself out the window.
I land on my back, hitting the hard ground roughly. As soon as I make contact with the ground, I feel pain in my back. It's definitely not broken, but it was gonna hurt either way. "Katsuki! Are you ok?!" someone asks. I turn my head to the familiar voice. Kirishima looks at me with worry. I nod. "Yeah, I'm fine." I say, standing up as quick as I could. "Let's get the fuck out of here." I grab his hand and start speed walking away. Jeez, my back hurts now. I'm gonna have to ice it when we get back. I hear police sirens behind us. I turn and see police officers and even a few pro heroes helping students leave the building. Raccoon Eyes runs up to an officer and starts talking to me, but I have no idea what she's saying.
Suddenly, the man jumps out the window I had jumped out of. Police officers pull their guns on him, and pro heroes surround him. He quickly realizes he's out numbered. He snickers.
"Well, then. I guess that's that. I'll be taking my leave now." he says, smiling evilly. Then, he starts melting into a thick, grayish brown liquid. It looks like mud. It drops to the ground and just sits there. A police officer near us makes a frustrated noise. "Tch, that damn Twice guy." he says. He then runs to the group of officers. Kirishima and I look at each other. "I think we should head home." he says. I look to the ground. "...Yeah." I respond.
