Ch.1

Charlotte woke up at 6 o'clock and she took a shower today was her first day of high school. Over the summer she mostly hang out with Betty and Jughead. She smiled thinking of him she has a huge crush on him ever since she was 11 and he was 13.

Charlotte looked in her full length mirror she was all ready she had a cute plaid dress it was pink on with leggings underneath and her black Mary janes and her black jacket her red hair was in curls. She was excited but also sad.

Charlotte princess breakfast!! her dad called her down

Okay daddy!! She got her shoulder bag and walked downstairs.

Oh princess you look pretty the prettiest girl ever .. Fred Andrews said to his daughter

She blushed sitting down beside him .. Thanks daddy as she was eating her brother rushed downstairs and grabbed a piece of bacon and shoved it in his mouth like a pig. Charlotte giggled.

Hey little red he said to his sister

Whoa why in such a rush sit down eat something Archie there dad said

Sorry dad I've got football tryouts he said

Charlotte can you walk to school on your own? Archie asked

She frowned, I'm 15 not five she said all sassy and she rolled her eyes

Ok later.. Archie left.. He always so busy lately she sighed and
ate the rest of her food..

Walking into school there was a sad mood Betty showed her where her locker was walking down the hall she wasn't looking in front of her she bumped into someone the person put there arm's around her keeping her from falling on the floor.

Charlotte looked up in to warm chocolate eyes her heart skipped a beat.

You ok? Jughead asked the pretty girl she looked beautiful today she always looks beautiful

Y.. yes.. She stuttered out he let go of her and she frown but quickly put a smile on her face

Sorry Juggie Charlotte told him

Just look where you're going he said with a wink and walked away .. The little red head was blushing Betty noticed

Charlotte!! Come on She looked at Betty she walked over to her and the two walked to Betty's locker

Hi Betty this girl said Charlotte looked at her she was pretty she had black hair and brown eyes.

Oh hi Veronica betty said with a friendly smile

Veronica Lodge this is Charlotte Andrews and this is Kevin Keller Charlotte looked next to her and there was Kevin she didn't really know him. They started walking and talking.

"So, what's the social scene like here? Any night clubs?" Veronica asks

"A strip club called the Ho Zone," Kevin said

"And a tragic gay bar called Innuendo. Friday nights is football games and then tailgate parties at the Mall-Mart parking lot."

"Saturday night is movie night. Regardless of what's playing at the Bijou and you better get there early, because we don't have reserved seating in Riverdale. As for Sunday, thank god for HBO." Charlotte finished with a smile and the four of them stop walking.

Your gay right? Veronica ask Kevin Kevin nodded

"Thank god. Let's be best friends."

"That he's the devil incarnate? I stand by my father. Does everyone here know?" Veronica asks a little forcefully and the three of them stay quiet. "Wonderful. Ten minutes in and I'm already the Blue Jasmine of Riverdale High." Veronica rolls her eyes and walks away from them. Both of them hit Kevin's arm but he only shrugs.

"What?"

Charlotte and Betty walk after Veronica.

"Oh, and of course there's the back to school semi-formal dance this weekend." Betty continues after catching up with Veronica and apologising repeatedly for what Kevin had said. Veronica suddenly stops grabbing hold of Betty and bringing her closer.

"Oh! There's the hottie we were with last night. The red headed Ansel Elgort. Is he your boyfriend?" Veronica asked looking directly at Archie.

"No, he's straight," Kevin replied at the same time as Betty.

"No, we're just friends."

"In that case, mind putting in a word? I've tried every flavour of boy but orange." Veronica said with dreamy eyes. Eww gross Charlotte thought

"Actually, to clarify, Betty and My brother aren't dating, but they are endgame," The little redhead stated

"You should ask him to the semi-formal then," Veronica told her simply.

"She should, but I heard it might be getting cancelled. Because of what happened to Jason. Kevin tells her Veronica's confused face.

We walk into the hall and took a set on the bleachers. As the rest of the school slowly as the room falls silent and Cheryl begins her speech.

"Thank you for that moment of silence. Many of you were lucky enough to have known my brother personally. Each and every one of you meant the world to Jason. I loved my brother. He was and always will be my soulmate." Cheryl spoke

"I speak with the confidence only a twin could have Jason wouldn't want us to spend the year mourning. Jason would want us to move on with our lives, which is why I've asked the School Board not to cancel the Back-to-School semiformal." Everyone begins to cheer and clap. "But rather, to let us use it as a way to heal, collectively, and celebrate my brother's too, too short life on this mortal coil. Thank you all."

They got up and walked out with Jughead staring intently at the red haired girl he felt bad about pulling away from her the truth was he was in love with her and he didn't know how to tell her so he just slowly stopped talking to her besides she's his best friend well former best friend's sister.
