"Hey are you ok?" Betty ask Charlotte

Yeah what's up with you and Jughead? Kevin comments as all of them take a seat with there lunch on a bench outside.

I'm fine betty and Kevin I don't know what you're talking about
he gave her a weird look she looked at her food and started to eat. Jughead has been ignored her ever since the 4th of July and she doesn't know why? he just stopped talking to her.

Betty begged Archie countless of times she managed to convince Archie to play us his songs.

Charlotte sat quietly listening as Archie's beautiful voice played through his laptop. She glance to Betty who sat next to Archie with a dreamy smile on her face. Charlotte really hope they get together

"Can I join?" We all look up at Veronica, who stood in front of us holding a tray of food.

"Yeah." Betty nods and Veronica sits next to me.

"What are we doing?"

"Listening to one of Archie's songs." Betty smiles.

"I thought we were going to have to pretend to like it, but it's actually really good," Kevin admits.Charlotte frowns at this my brother is fantastic she thought..

"Wait, that was you singing?Something you wrote?" Veronica asks.

"It's rough."

"No, it's great," Betty said reassuring him.

Thanks little red , she smiled at her brother

"It's incredible, actually, the little snippet I heard. Is that your thing? Music? Are you doing something with that?" Veronica asks eagerly.

"Yeah, that's the plan. So, how's your first day going? Good?" Archie asks.

"Not to be a complete narcissist, but I thought people would be more..." Veronica trails off trying to find the right word.

"Obsessed with you?" Kevin finishes for her. "Any other year, you'd be trending number one, for sure. This year, though, it's all about Cheryl trying to win the Best Supporting Psycho Oscar for her role as Riverdale High's bereaved Red Widow.

"Hey, I should go. I got that meeting with Grundy and then football tryouts, so." Archie tells us picking up his laptop and going to leave.

"You play football, too? What don't you do?" Veronica says eyeing him up and down as he walks away.

"Before you ask, Blue Jasmine, no, she has not invited him to the dance yet," Kevin says aggressively looking at Betty.

"Not yet, and don't talk about Archie." Betty hisses right as Cheryl walks up to our table

"Veronica Lodge, I'd heard whisperings. Hey Charlotte how's the first day going? Good? Great. I'm Cheryl Blossom, may I sit? Betty, would you mind? Charlotte rolled her eyes.

Cheryl asks not bothering to wait for a reply before taking a seat in front of Veronica.

"So, what are you four hens gossiping about? Archie's Efron-esque emergence from the chrysalis of puberty?"Charlotte made a disgusted face and pushed her food away

"Extracurricular. Weatherbee wants me to sign up for a few."

"Cheerleading. You must. I'm senior captain of the River Vixens." Cheryl says proudly flipping her hair over to the other side.

"At Spence, I sat at the top of the Elites' pyramid. I'm in. Betty, Charlotte, you're trying out too."

"Of course, anyone's welcome to try out. Betty's already got so much on her plate right now and being a Vixen is kind of a full-time thing."

Cheryl states eyeing Betty's tray full of food. "But open to all! Follow me on Twitter and I'll do the same. My handle is @ cherylbombshell ." Cheryl walks away.

Charlotte get up and said , I'll see you guys later she waved bye and walked away.

Charlotte! she knew that voice it was Jugheads she kept on walking, She was mad at him for ignoring her all summer and for this morning.

Charlotte!! Jughead grabbed her hand but she pulled it away

Yes Jughead? she cross her arms over her chest

I'm sorry and I want to talk to you
he said moving some hair away from her face.. Her heart fluttered but she ignored it and moved his hand away

Talk? Talk? Talk .. ok ... how about you just stopped talking to me out of know where!!? Tears rolling down her cheeks

What did I do Juggie I know things wasn't the same after 4th of July but I thought me and you would never change she said crying

Nothing absolutely nothing he moved closer to her wiping her tears away.. It was me I was stupid it was stupid of me to ignore you.. I I .. He was going to tell her how he felt about her but he didn't .. She looked up at him blinking

Charlotte walk out onto the football field in a in a River vixens uniform.

Damn little red Yo Archie your little sister is hot!! She looked at the foot ball team..her cheeks got hot and she looked down

Shut up!! Dude Archie hit the guy who said that and they ran off.

Charlotte started walking again
as She walked passed the bleachers she felt eyes on her she looked up at the middle and there was Jughead sitting there with his laptop he looked at her up and down and then smiled at the little red head.

As much as she wanted to stay mad at him she just couldn't Charlotte smiled back and carried on walking.

Betty and Veronica walked on each side of Charlotte and smile widely at her. She looked at the two

What? She said softly

Nothing they said

"Archie," Veronica calls out over the field gaining Archie's attention.

"You're so doing this."

"What?"

"Slaying your dragons, Betty Cooper, one by one."

"Hi, Teen Outlander." Veronica greets and Archie comes over to us wearing his muddy football uniform.

"Hey. Nice outfits." "Congrats." Little red he said ruffling Charlotte's hair she playfully frowns at him fixing her hair

"Betty here has something she wants to ask you about the Back-to-School dance. Go on, Betty, ask." Veronica pushes.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come with the both of us," Betty asks looking from Veronica to Archie. Charlotte looked at them with her eyebrows together.

"Huh?" Archie says at the same time as Veronica.

"What?"

"It's your first dance at Riverdale. You should have someone to go with, even if it's just a friend."The thought crossed Charlotte's mind to ask Juggie but it's not really his thing.

"I mean, I'd love to," Veronica says.

"I'm not really in the headspace for a dance," Archie explains and Betty's face drops.

"Oh, okay."

"Totally unacceptable, Archiekins. We need an escort and with your sweet little sister going with Kevin we can't just go solo. Now, take a break from being a tortured musical genius and come spend a blissful evening with not one, but two newly-minted River Vixens.We'll text you time and place." Veronica insists not ready to leave until Archie agrees.

"Yeah, okay." Archie eventually agrees and Betty couldn't help the large grins that spread onto her face.

"You did it B." Charlotte almost scream hugging her tightly.

"Now let's go dress shopping."
