(Soulmate and Magic AU)

Probably going to run out of ideas soon hehe

Backstory on this AU:

Only a few people have magic and those that wield magic can recognize their soulmate by the marks they have on any part of their body. Only people who wield magic can have a soulmate that has magic too. Basically, it's easier for them to recognize their soulmate. Also, when soulmates want to officiate their relationship, they need to say their soulmate vows, symbolizing the acknowledgement and acceptance of their soulmate.

The school was in utter panic as terrorists barged through the gates, quickly capturing the school.

The teachers were slaughtered, the terrorist leaving none to survive. The students had no way to escape the strong terrorist team and were quickly overpowered. Many students were pinned down and some even had their legs broken for attempting to escape.

Soon, the small school of only a hundred students was forced into the school auditorium. Almost everyone was in the state of pure fear as they sat in their seats, with men armed to the teeth standing guard over them.

The only people standing in front of the school was what seemed to be the leader of the terrorists and a teenage girl. The teenage girl wasn't from the school, no one recognized the girl and she seemed to be quite alright with standing on the stage with the terrorist.

At least, that was what most of them saw. Dominic stared at the girl intently, her silver eyes dull and her face expressionless. She looked so fragile, like a porcelain doll that was on the verge of breaking.

Cody, who was sitting next to Dominic silently nudged him and gestured at the girl. Dominic shook his head discreetly, signalling not to say a word right then and there.

Before long, the leader of the terrorists stared at them, a grin appearing on his face.

Dominic and Cody were taken aback and glanced at each other, silently agreeing to stay quiet until chaos ensued.

"Those two." the man gestured at Dominic and Cody and two henchman grabbed the boys. With guns pressed behind their backs, they couldn't do anything without exposing themselves.

As they were ushered up the stage, the leader held a fist up. All the other terrorist lifted their guns, preparing to fire.

The girl stared blankly at the two boys, head tilted slightly. Her eyes suddenly flared a blazing blue and the crowd gasped at the sight.

The man smirked and dropped his hand but the guns never fired.

Cody's eyes glowed a bright gold as time around him stopped. Everyone froze in time except four people including him. The girl, the man and Dominic stared each other.

"So it did work." the man laughed and wrapped his arms around the girl. "Good job Madeline."

"Thank you, Master." the girl said monotonously and tilted her head, allowing the man to bury his face in her neck. The girl stared at the two boys, her eyes expressing no emotion whatsoever.

"Who are you guys?" Cody questioned fiercely. "How did you escape my time pause?"

The man let go of the girl and pushed the girl forward, causing her to fall to her knees and she sat there staring at the three. Her knees scraped against the rough carpet but she made no sound.

Dominic frowned. The girl was not acting like a normal human. It was as if her will to survive and live like a normal human had been destroyed. She was just a puppet for the man.
