This was my essay for exam, a little rewritten because I didn't have enough time to properly write in exam. (I wrote 1600+ words please-) It was fun to spook my teacher with this :3

Also sorry for the late updates, been really hectic for the past week. Also thanks for the 100 reads :D

warning: mild(?) horror (I don't know what is even mild horror anymore)

Someone tapped me on my shoulder. When I woke up, I was face-to-face with the rude bus driver than my friends and I were talking about.

"Lady, wake up! We're at the last stop!" he roared. I winced at the loud noise, and had almost wanted to push him away due to his smelly garlic breath before I realized what he had said.

"We're at the last stop?"

"Lady, I just said that. Now get off my bus!" he grumbled as I sat there in shock. I made a mad scramble for my bag before quickly getting off, not wanting to deal with Mr Grumpy Garlic Breath.

As soon as I stepped off the bus, he closed the door to the bus and drove off.

"Where am I" I wondered to myself out loud. "Where are those idiots?"

My friends and I were travelling together, but now that they were gone and I was lost, I was filled with desperation.

"Why didn't they wake me up?" I mumbled to myself as I scanned my surroundings.

I was in a forest, and night was falling. I heard crickets around me and I instantly felt afraid.

Why would a bus stop be in the middle of the woods? How long was I asleep? All these thoughts surged through my head. I quickly checked my phone, but there was no reception. What else could I do but walk the way that I had come from.

I thanked the Gods because I had decided to pack light and only had a backpack. I quickly made my way towards the direction the bus had drove from, hoping to get out of this forest, which was making the hairs on the back of my neck stand.

After speed walking in a straight line, I found a bus stop that was eerily similar to the one I had came from.

'Strange,' I thought to myself. 'Why was there another bus stop here?'

Feeling goose bumps on my skin, I continued on again. Once again, I reached the same bus stop. By then, I nearly let out a scream.

I swear I was walking straight! How did I end up back here? I was terrified. What position have I landed myself on? Why was this straight out of a horror story?

"What are you doing here?" A boy's voice sounded from behind me. I jumped and spun around, finding an albino boy holding a lantern. He was around my height, and his red eyes glistened as they stared at me curiously.

"I-I'm lost," I stammered out. He was dressed in traditional Japanese clothes, a dark blue yukata if I was not mistaken.

He looked at me in surprise and motioned me to take a seat in the bus stop. I complied and he took a seat next to me.

He introduced himself as Amatsu, and that he lived alone in the woods with only his pet fox as company. In return, I quickly introduced myself and how I had gotten lost.

"You're lucky I found you first," he said with a bright smile.

What he meant by first, I did not dare ask him.

He explained that we were in the White Forest, and during night time, if you were to wander around without a lantern, you would go round and round in a loop. When asked why, he simply replied with an "I don't know".
