AN: So this is just a joke oneshot xD I got the inspiration from someone who came to my school to give a talk sometime ago. Short but I find it humorous nonetheless~

Please take note that some countries call noodles 'mee' as a slang.

Last oneshot for April. (I updated a lot this month actually... I'm impressed at myself for some reason) Hopefully everyone continues to stay safe during this period

Anyway enjoy~

He smiled at her as he sat down.

"How have you been?" he asked with a smile. "It's been a while."

"It has." She nodded. "I've been doing great I just came back from a trip. What about you?"

He hummed as he flipped through the menu.

"It's been quite dull here actually. Nothing much happened."

He shrugged and the atmosphere turned silent again. The both of them quietly looked through the menu, debating on how to continue their conversation.

The waiter came and took their orders, interrupting the quiet atmosphere. However, they were plunged into an awkward silence after the waiter left them alone once more.

'How do you start a conversation again?' She sighed and twirled her hair.

"So... How was your trip?" He attempted.

"Nothing much, I prefer home to be honest. It's more familiar here." She hummed as she added silently. 'And I get to see you more.'

"I would like to travel like you do someday," he said with a smile. "I've been stuck here since I was a kid."

"I mostly travel for work you know." She pointed out while rolling her eyes.

"But you get to travel places, that's still nice." He chuckled.

"I guess," she said as she stared at his beautiful smile.

'I wonder if that trick would work...' Her thoughts flew back to the advice her newfound Asian friend.

The conversation continued lightly and soon the waiter came with their food.

After serving them, the waiter flashed a smile before leaving again.

"So, do you like me?" she asked casually with a slight anxiety hidden in her voice.

"W-what?" His face turned red upon the question.

'How could one ask it so casually?' he thought to himself.

Meanwhile, her cheeks were tinted a slight red. She actually did it. She asked it.

"I-I mean like mee! You know like how some Asian countries use the term for noodles!" she stuttered as she pointed at her bowl of noodles that was just served.

He looked away from her, face still red.

"B-but I do like you..." he mumbled, barely audible. Unfortunately for him, she heard his statement and her face turned a deeper red.

"I-Is that so...?" she looked away from him, her face heating up. "I-I do like you too..."

She immediately hid her face with her hands.

'This is so embarrassing...'

He laughed softly as he reached over and pulled her hands away.

"Then," he said as she placed a kiss on her hand. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Her heart fluttered at the gesture.

"Of course."
