T.W.: mention of: torture, fire, and kidnapping
Logan was strapped to a chair, watching Patton being electrocuted over and over again until he erupted in flames. No amount of screaming could make it stop, and no amount of struggling could break him free as he watched his brother die.
"Logan!"
"Logan!"
The boy shot up in his bed, breathing heavily.
"Hey, Lo, its okay." Thomas hugged his son tightly, "it was just a nightmare. You're safe."
Logan let out a small sob, burying his face in Thomas's shoulder. It had been a few months since the kidnapping and the boys were still healing. Some days were better than others, but as Emile told them,
"Even a little progress, is progress."
Thomas sighed as he rocked back and forth, "do you wanna talk about it?"
Logan shook his head.
"Okay." Thomas gave him a squeeze, "the how about some breakfast? We can make pancakes?"
Logan took a breath and nodded, "t-that sounds nice."
"Alright, I'll get those started." Thomas smiled.
Thomas ruffled Logan's hair before leaving the room. Logan layed back on his bed, taking deep, slow breaths.
Neither of the twins had woken up, but that's not surprising as they were both heavy sleepers. Remus was snoring away on the top bunk, while Roman was curled up with a Lion King plush.
Their bedroom door opened again and Patton walked over to Logan, tear stains on his cheeks.
"Lo-lo?" Patton sniffed, "I had a bad dream."
Logan gave him a small sigh, moving over to let Patton crawl into bed with him.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Logan asked.
Patton shrugged, "I was in a field of really pretty flowers when a huge dragon came and started burning everything with lightning. I had to run away but no matter how mush I ran it was still right behind me."
"That sounds terrible." Logan said quietly.
Patton nodded, "Lo-lo? Do you get bad dreams?"
Logan's nightmare flashed through his mind, "yes."
"What are they like?" Patton asked, looking up at his brother with wide eyes.
"Well," Logan started, "sometimes they're about being late to work or losing my teeth."
Patton giggled.
"But sometimes they're really scary." Logan sighed.
"Like when we got kidnapped?" Patton asked softly.
Logan nodded.
"Its okay Lo-lo. I get those nightmares too." Patton hugged his older brother, "but they're not real. We're safe with Dad and Gust now."
Logan smiled softly, "I know Patt."
Virgil walked into the room, "Um, Dad said that the p-pancakes are ready."
Logan sighed, "Alright. Patt, why dont you go down with Virgil and Dee while I get the twins up."
Patton giggled, crawling out of Logan's bed, "good luck Lo-lo."
"Thanks Patt." Logan chuckled.
The two walked out of the room, leaving Logan to wake Roman and Remus. Logan sighed and rolled out of bed.
"Roman, wake up." Logan said, grabbing a pillow.
"Hng, 'kay." Roman groaned.
Logan threw the pillow onto the top bunk, hitting Remus in the face.
"Wake up Ree!" Logan yelled.
Remus screamed, jolting up and hitting his head on the ceiling.
"Hey!" Remus yelled.
"Thomas is making pancakes." Logan said, setting the pillow back on Roman's bed.
The twins huffed, flopping down on their beds and saying they'd be down soon.
Logan smiled, making his way to the kitchen. It was the weekend, so there was nothing but relaxation for today. Logan had a feeling it was going to be a good day.
