Virgil and Percy were chilling in Virgil's room when they heard the front door open.

"Hey Virge! How are you doing?" Remus burst into Virgil's room, covered in mud.

"What the hell happened to you?" Percy asked, taking another bite of ice cream.

"He fell into the creek."

"I hid a body!"

Virgil and Percy laughed as Logan gave a long suffering sigh.

"What really happened is Remus chased a duck to the creek and Roman pushed him in." Logan said.

"And then he pulled me in!" Roman shouted from what Virgil assumed was the bathroom.

Percy snorted, "are they always like this?"

Logan and Virgil sighed, "unfortunately."

"Percy!" Dee squealed, "I saw a dragon at the park!"

"Really?" Percy chuckled.

"Uh-huh!" Dee nodded, "it was big and red and had green ice!"

"Ice?" Percy questioned.

"Dee doesn't like fire." Virgil whispered back.

Percy nodded and continued listening to the child's ramblings.

"So where's Patt?" Virgil asked.

"Hes helping Dad make cookies." Logan said after shoving Remus towards the bathroom.

Suddenly Dee gasped, "Can we get cookie dough!?"

Virgil, Percy, and Dee looked to Logan.

The oldest sighed, "why not."

The younger three cheered and ran downstairs.

"What about us?" Remus poked his head out of the bathroom.

"Clean up first." Logan told them, walking down the stairs.

Remus pouted, but a second later Roman threw a towel at him. Logan rolled his eyes at the twins antics. He was happy that everyone finally felt safe enough to relax and have fun.

"Watch out!" Patton yelled as a glob of cookie dough landed on Logan's face.

The whole kitchen went quiet. Logan carefully took off his glasses.

Logan sighed, "there are better ways of giving out cookie dough, you know."

"I'm sorry Lo-Lo!" Patton ran up and hugged his older brother.

"Its okay Patton." Logan laughed, patting the ten year olds head.

"I'm back! Did you miss me?" Roman smiled as he ran down the stairs.

"Your mom misses you." Logan responded automatically.

"What did Remy do to you?" Virgil asked after a beat of silence.

"He fucked him!" Remus yelled.

"Language!" Patton scolded

"Remus!" Logan growled.

"Okay okay, calm down." Thomas stepped in.

"I wish my family was more like this." Percy sighed, "it's so much more fun."

"Trust me, it gets annoying quick." Virgil said.

Percy laughed. Something about that laugh made Virgil's heart flutter.
