"Virgil!" Roman ran out of the kitchen, "Come taste the cake Ree and I made!"

"You sure it want poisoned?" Virgil asked, not looking up from his phone.

"Its for Dad." Roman said, "it's been exactly six months since he adopted us!"

"Has it really been that long?" Virgil smiled.

"Yeah!" Roman smiled, "now will you taste the cake!?"

Virgil rolled his eyes, "fine."

The moment Virgil stepped into the kitchen, Remus shoved a piece of purple cake scrap in his mouth.

"How is it!?" Remus asked, bouncing in place.

Virgil chewed for a moment due to the sheer amount of cake in his mouth.

"Its delicious!" Virgil grinned once he was able to speak again.

"Yes!" The twins shouted, high-fiving each other.

"Is that rainbow?" Virgil asked, pointing to the half finished cake.

"Hell yeah it is!" Remus yelled.

"Everything can be a bit gayer!" Roman laughed.

"Yeah." Virgil smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Do you wanna help with the frosting!?" Remus asked, jumping around the kitchen.

Virgil shrugged, "sure."

One hour later, they had the cake frosted. Well, after Patton came downstairs and helped Roman eat half the frosting. They were about to celebrate when they heard the door unlock.

Thomas froze when he saw the four boys huddled together by the counter.

"What are you doing?" Thomas asked, confused.

"Nothing!" All the boys chimed.

Thomas gave them a look, then walked off, "Alright. Try not to destroy anything."

The boys gave a sigh of relief. Until Thomas turned around.

"Wheres Dee and Logan?" He asked.

"They're playing chess upstairs!" Patton chirped.

Thomas nodded, "okay. Movie later?"

The boys agreed and Thomas went upstairs.

"That was way to close." Virgil sighed.

"Agreed." Roman nodded.

"How are we gonna hide the cake?" Patton asked.

"We have a mini fridge in our room!" Remus suggested, "we would have to take out Lo's iced coffees and my monsters, but it'll fit!"

"Okay, but Dad is still upstairs." Roman reminded them, "how are we gonna get it in there?"

"I'll distract Dad!" Patton giggled, "I made a bracelet for him anyway  and I need to give it to him!"

"Thanks Patt!" Remus picked up his brother and spun him around.

Patton shrieked with laughter.

"Ree! Put me down so I can distract Dad!" Patton laughed.

"Okay okay!" Remus set down his brother.

"Okay Dad! Close your eyes!" Roman said after their movie was over.

"Why?" Thomas chuckled, closing his eyes.

"Ro-ro and Ree are getting your surprise!" Patton giggled.

Augustus nudged his boyfriend, "oh, a surprise!"

Thomas laughed, "surprise for what?"

"You'll see." Virgil smirked.

Roman and Remus came down the stairs and set the cake on the coffee table.

"Oh... my..." Augustus laughed.

"Okay!" Remus smiled.

"Open your eyes!" Roman grinned.

Thomas opened his eyes. In front of him was a six layered, rainbow cake.

"What's this for?" Thomas asked, smiling wide.

"Its the six month anniversary of when you adopted us." Logan said with a smile.

"Really?" Thomas nodded, "well it's a good thing I got you guys things too."

"What!?" Dee gasped, "but you're the hero and the hero needs to be celebrated!"

"Thanks kiddo." Thomas ruffled the child's hair, "but it's an important day for you guys too. So hold on a second, I'll get your gifts and then we'll all enjoy some cake!"
