"Hey babe." Skylar smiled as he saw his boyfriend, "you okay?"

Virgil nodded tiredly, "yeah, just had a nightmare last night."

"Are you okay?!" Skylar worried, holding Virgil face.

"I'm fine. Just tired." Virgil laughed lightly.

"Okay." Skylar smiled, "do you wanna get some coffee from the cafe?"

"Yeah." Virgil smiled.

Skylar took Virgil's hand as they walked over to the schools cafe.

"Oh, hey Virge, Skylar." Percy smiled as the two walked up.

"Hey Perce." Virgil said.

"I didn't know you worked here." Skylar laughed lightly.

"Yeah, I'm usually stocking but the girl who's usually serving is sick today." Percy shrugged, "so what can I get you?"

"Two iced coffees." Skylar smirked, "extra sugar for Vee."

"I'll get right on it." Percy nodded.

"I'll pay." Skylar smiled as Virgil took out his wallet.

Virgil blushed, "are you sure?"

"Yeah." Skylar laughed, "I'm sure."

"Alright, here you go." Percy handed over the coffee's, "and you guys get the friends discount so your total is 2.16."

"Thanks Percy." Skylar said as he paid.

"This is some damn good coffee." Virgil commented, "My brothers boyfriend would be jealous."

"Tell him to come by Dutch Bros on the weekends and I'll give him an extra punch on a punch card." Percy laughed.

Virgil gasped, "tell him to get coffee somewhere other than Starbucks!?"

"Shut up!" Percy said, almost dying of laughter.

"Anyway, we gotta go." Skylar said, "nice talking to you again."

"Anytime." Percy smiled, "see you in class Virge."

"Yeah." Virgil smiled back.

"Hey Sky?" Virgil asked as they walked home, "my family kinda wants to officially meet you, are you free to come to dinner at my house?"

Skylar smiled, "of course! Just let me text my mom and we can call it a date."

"A date with my whole family third wheeling. How fun." Virgil rolled his eyes.

"At least your family uses your correct pronouns." Skylar smiled sadly at the ground.

"Sky..." Virgil sighed, "I'm sorry you have to deal with that."

"Well it's not like my family hates me for being trans, its just..." the boy cut himself off with a sigh.

"Tiresome?" Virgil offered.

"Yeah." Skylar nodded.

"Well at my house you won't get misgendered." Virgil smiled.

Skylar smiled back, "yeah."

Virgil hugged his boyfriend tightly.

"How did I get an amazing guy like you?" Skylar asked.

Virgil chuckled, "I could ask the same thing."

Skylar gave a small laugh, burying his face in Virgil's shoulder.

"Okay, we gotta finish our walk." Virgil said, trying to pull away from the hug.

"No!" Skylar whined, holding him tighter, "you're warm!"

"Sky!" Virgil laughed, "were gonna miss dinner!"

"But I want hugs." Skylar pouted.

"We can cuddle after dinner." Virgil smiled.

"Fine." Skylar said, finally letting go of his boyfriend.

"Thanks." Virgil took his hand, "I love you."

Skylar smiled, "I love you too."
