"Scoot over," Hyunjin said after placing his laptop on a table and shifting said table closer to the bed.

Jeongin looked up at him and thanked heavens that they had turned off the lights. If not, Hyunjin would've been able to see how red Jeongins' cheeks had turned but under the light of the laptop screen, the blush on his cheeks went unnoticed.

He wanted to ask Hyunjin why he had to move but before he could even ask, Hyunjin simply squeezed himself next to him, pulling the blanket over himself as well, their legs and arms in contact with one another causing Jeongins' cheeks to burn even further.

"What should we watch Innie?" Hyunjin asked nonchalantly, scrolling up and down using his mouse. When Jeongin didn't answer, he turned his head to find that Jeongin was staring right at him, an unreadable expression on his face.

Hyunjin felt his heart drop slightly - did he come on to strong? "Hey Innie, I'm sorry. I think you're uncomfortable and-" He had stood up again and started to shift away but felt Jeongin tug on the corner of his shirt.

"Could you..." he trailed off, his cheeks getting even redder as he reached the peak of embarrassment.

"Could I what?" Hyunjin asked, kneeling down by the side of his bed so that they could be on eye level. He saw Jeongins' hand drop back down onto the bed, his fingers still curled from when he had reached out for Hyunjin.

A whisper so faint escaped Jeongins' lips that Hyunjin couldn't catch anything he said. "Could you repeat?"

Jeongin cleared his throat and exhaled a shaky breath before he gulped and finally mustered the courage to speak, his words and his voice slowly coming back to him.

"Hyung...could you stay with me? I-I know this sounds insane and all but cou-could you stay the night wi-"

"Yes." Hyunjin didn't need much persuasion before he quickly got back into the single bed with Jeongin and started scrolling through the movies.

He didn't want to tell Jeongin the fact that he had intended to stay the night, having arranged special measures with the hospital to let him do so, because he was scared of scaring him away with his eagerness. So, he kept his mouth shut as he moved even closer to Jeongin.

Eventually, they settled on a horror movie and throughout the movie, Jeongin held the fox plushie Hyunjin gave him close to his chest, covering its' eyes whenever something gory came up.

And throughout the movie, Hyunjin was watching something else entirely - he watched as Jeongins' jaw dropped during the revelations, watched how his eyebrows furrowed and how he leaned forward and held onto the paws of the fox during suspenseful events. He noticed how he jumped back slightly and clutched onto the plushie tighter and at one point, Hyunjin found himself wishing to be that fox plushie - to be held and hugged by Jeongin so tightly seemed like one of the greatest gifts in the world for him in that moment.

Truth be told, Hyunjin was often too much of a coward for horror movies and absolutely would not watch one out of his own volition but because of an article he read saying that horror movies would provide more opportunities for skinship, he decided to watch the current horror movie they were watching several times beforehand to familiarise himself with the jumpscares and scenes so that he could focus on one thing and one thing only.

He stared at the younger boy who was now bringing the blanket closer to his eyes and realised that the fatal jumpscare was coming and along with that was an opportunity for him to wrap his arms around the smaller boy.

He waited and waited but for some reason, the scene seemed to be dragging on and on and-

Jeongin screamed, the fox plushie flying into the air as Hyunjin felt a pair or arms wrap tightly around his chest, his loose shirt suddenly becoming a form fitting one due to how tightly Jeongin was holding onto him.

Jeongin soon found himself hiding his face against Hyunjins' chest, his grip on him never loosening.

Until he realised that he was practically squeezing the life out of the older boy.

His recurring blush returned with a vengeance. "I-I-I'm sorry!" He said, his hands slowly letting go of Hyunjin.

But this time, Hyunjin wasn't going to let Jeongin get away just like that.

Hyunjin wrapped his arms and legs around the boy, completely trapping him in his embrace as he rested his head on the crook of his neck.

Hyunjin could hear his own heartbeat beating so loud that he was sure that Jeongin could feel it beating too but Jeongin was preoccupied with trying not to scream out loud because his idol, Hwang Hyunjin, had trapped him in a bear hug.

"Hyung-"

"Can we stay like this?" Jeongin could feel his breath against his neck, sending a tingling sensation down his spine. "I-I was scared that I'd lose you."

Jeongin didn't expect that.

What he didn't expect either was the feeling of tears dropping onto his shirt, slow at first but soon became a storm.

"When my fans started hunting you down I was so scared. I know your friends probably felt worse so I can't compare my feelings to theirs but I...I was genuinely so afraid that I'd lose you." Despite the tears that had begun falling, Hyunjins' voice remained clear and determined as he laid out his thoughts and feelings for Jeongin to see.

Despite the short period of time they've known each other, he trusted Jeongin with his whole heart and he knew that if he had to give his heart away to anyone to protect and to keep, he would give his heart to Yang Jeongin without any hesitation.

"I know I haven't known you for long while you probably have this image of me in your head but I want to get to know you and I want you to see the real me and I pray, really pray, that you won't be scared by what you see and that you'll stay by my side because Yang Jeongin..." He hesitated to let his words out but with a sigh, he did. "I don't want to ever let you go."

Jeongin, who had been sitting quietly as Hyunjin spoke about everything in his heart, finally turned to look at the older boy who, even in the faint light of the laptop screen, looked beautiful but it hurt to see his tear stained face so Jeongin turned himself around completely to face him and ever so gently wiped the tears from his face.

"I-I know it's selfish of me to want to stay with you when it was my fans who caused you harm but I promise I'll protect you and-"

Jeongin sat on his lap, hugging him tightly once more. He knew that in the eyes of the press he would never be enough for the legendary Hwang Hyunjin - how could a mere fanboy compare to one of the best models of his generation?

But he knew that distancing himself from Hyunjin would hurt both of them and if what Hyunjin was telling him was true, Jeongin tried his best to erase any doubt and just go for it, not wanting to waste an opportunity to spend time with someone he liked.

Hyunjin chuckled and ran a hand through Jeongins' hair. "I'm guessing you'd be alright if I pursue you right?"

Jeongin couldn't find the right words to express how he felt so instead he nodded, hiding his face in the crook of Hyunjins' neck.

Hyunjin smiled and continued running his hand through Jeongins' hair, numerous ideas on how to pursue the younger boy slowly forming in his head.
