"This is so pretty." Was the first thing Jeongin said as he looked around the small treehouse adorned with fairy lights, blankets, cushions and a tiny circular table.

Hyunjin immediately grabbed a few cushions and a blanket, dragging them over to where the ledge of the treehouse was as he switched the fairy lights on.

He sat down and gave the cushion next to him a pat, telling Jeongin to sit next to him, a bright smile plastered on his face as the younger boy did as he was told.

Hyunjin immediately wrapped the blanket around the both of them, shifting closer to Jeongin and although he was taller, he placed his head on his shoulder.

"Do you know why this is my favourite place?" he asked, his voice quiet as his hands instinctively found Jeongins', intertwining their fingers together, his hand completely covering the younger boys' smaller one.

He heard Jeongin hum in response, urging him to continue with what he was saying.

"Because it used to be my safe haven."

His words took Jeongin aback because how could a treehouse in the middle of an almost deserted park be the solace of someone like Hwang Hyunjin?

"I used to come here when I was younger with all my friends. We would laugh and play and eat - god, we did everything here." Hyunjin chuckled, remembering a smaller version of him running around the treehouse which he had once thought to be a world of its' own as he tripped on his own two feet while his friends laughed along with him. "But then, they grew up. They no longer wanted to come here and as time went on, I was the only one left."

His grip on Jeongins' hand tightened, afraid that if he were to let go, he would disappear too. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath, the scent of the trees, the flowers and most importantly, Yang Jeongin, filling his nostrils and giving him energy to continue speaking.

"And since I was the only one left, I remembered wrapping myself in a blanket and sitting by this very ledge thinking about how maybe, I should abandon this place too." A sigh escaped his lips and as much as Jeongin wanted to turn around and face him, he knew that the older boy would prefer if he just let him lean on his shoulder for a while longer.

"No one comes up here anymore but every once in a while, I fix the place up, pretending that maybe someone will. But, no one ever does."

Hyunjin licked his lips and finally raised his head, locking eyes with Jeongin. "It's cliche if I say you're the first person after those that left to come up here isn't it?" Hyunjin asked, a ghost of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Sorry. I brought you up here to see the sunset and here I am lamenting about my own past-"

"I like it here," Jeongin interjected as he looked away from Hyunjins' gaze and at the sky that was now painted orange and pink, remnants of blue fading away and making room for the moon to take its' place in the sky. "And, I like it better since I'm here with you hyung."

Jeongin felt a tug on his sleeve and when he turned around, his lips met Hyunjins'. The kiss was soft and gentle, both parties not wanting to rush into anything as Hyunjin leaned further into the kiss, deepening it as he cupped Jeongins' face in his hands.

He savoured the moment because for the first time in a long while, he wasn't under the eyes of the press or a million fans. Nothing about what was happening between them was staged. It was real and it belonged to him entirely and not just to the model Hwang Hyunjin.

As the sun set, the pair broke away from their kiss, Jeongin blushing a deep red, looking down at his toes to prevent Hyunjin from seeing his utter embarrassment. Hyunjin on the other hand licked his lips as he watched Jeongin tug on the sleeves of his jacket, his fingers playing with loose strands of thread.

Hyunjin smiled as he placed his head on Jeongins' lap, forcing the boy to look straight into his eyes. "Remember when you said that I'm your everything?"

A look of recollection dawned upon Jeongins' face, his face burning up even more at the simple mention of the three words that had been haunting him ever since he said them.

Three words that held a world of meaning behind them.

"You're my everything too," Hyunjin said, his hand gently moving Jeongins' hair aside as he sat up and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "You're my everything Yang Jeongin."

"But what if-"

"No what ifs - not right now. All that matters is you're here with me and I lov-" His words were left hanging in the air as the ringing of a phone interrupted their moment, Hyunjin hesitantly answering whoever was calling him.

"This better be good or I swear to god I will murder all of you-"

"Calm down Hyunjin. We just wanted to call you to tell you that there's a viral tweet about you right now. I'll send it to you-"

"No."

"What do you mean no? People could easily find you-"

"I'm watching a sunset right now so, don't call me unless Minho somehow got Jisung to date him." And he hung up, sliding the phone across the floor and wrapping his arms around Jeongin.

"What do we do if people find us? Oh gosh what about your reputation? Oh my gosh..." Jeongin questioned, his eyes wide as Hyunjin rested his head in the crook of his neck and planted a kiss on his collarbone, causing the younger boy to look down again only to see how tightly Hyunjins' arms were wrapped around his waist.

Hyunjin continued trailing kisses down his collarbone. "I want to stay with you," he muttered, now resting his head back in the crook of his neck.

Jeongin sighed and leaned back, not even being able to fight back because he did want to stay in Hyunjins' arms forever - he had found his safe haven and there was no way he was going to leave.

"Innie? You know how this place carried so many memories?" Jeongin nodded, his hands holding onto the arms wrapped around him. "Out of all the memories I've had here, this memory with you is my favourite. I lo-"

Screams and the blinding flash of cameras were seen from a far, causing Jeongin to try and push away from Hyunjin who only held onto him tighter.

"I keep getting interrupted when I'm trying to confess my love for you," Hyunjin muttered.

"Wait what?"

Hyunjin mentally slapped himself from thinking out loud, the romantic atmosphere he had been waiting for for his confession completely ruined. Hyunjin quickly used the blankets to hide him and Jeongin in an attempt to reserve some privacy for what he was about to say.

"I love you."

Another trio of words that held a world of meaning behind them.

There was a pause and Hyunjin felt as though his world could end right there and then.

"Tha-that's such a strong word."

"You don't have to say it back-"

"But I-I love you too," Jeongin kissed his cheek, standing up immediately and causing the blankets to fall. "And because I love you, let's run before you get bombarded by people."

Hyunjin bit his lip, a smile forming on his face as he ran away again from the press and the crowds, hand in hand with the boy he loves.
