Arlie sat outside of Gorans door after trying everything she could think of for him to answer.
Knocked, texted, called. Even did the same to his wife.
No answer.
Then suddenly she heard feet running towards to door.
"Arlie? I'm sorry I didn't..." He said quickly once he opened the door.
"Don't be, it's ok..." Arlie said.
"Come in." He said letting her in.
She walked past the living room where Maja, his wife, was with their kids watching TV.
"Our phones were upstairs and we were in the back, I'm sorry." He said again.
She knew that was the truth, he wouldn't lie to anyone especially her.
"But I'm here now, what's wrong?" He asked as they got to his backyard.
"Tyler broke up with me...." She said showing no emotions.
"I know....I overheard you two....I'm sorry." He said.
Arlie probably could've gone to Bam, or Udonis but she knew Goran the longest. Josh introduced them first which made them close friends.
"I lied to him. I told him I was the one who wanted something between me and Duncan but it wasn't...." She said sitting down on his pool chair.
"Why would you do that?" He sat down across from her.
"I know how important this team is to him. I know how much he's been wanting all of this, I'm not letting it get ruined. Not now after all of this."
"I get that but Arlie, Ty could get over this. He was afraid of this happening. Of you still not being over Duncan, and you just made his fear real."
"I know he could've but not quick enough. I know them both. And they're both the most stubborn asses I've ever known. Just like you're ass....but I also know how hard they both worked to even make the team."
"So why'd you really do it?"
"I wanted them to just finally live on with their dream. I wanted them to play with no problems. I love them both but....I've never been in love with someone this much like the way I've been with Ty. Playing the game makes him so happy."
"But you make his day, his week, his everything. Arlie, the game only lasts a few hours while you last a lifetime to him."

Duncan knocked on Tyler's door waiting for an answer.
After a few minutes he finally opened.
"Can we talk?" Duncan asked.
"Didn't give me much of an option so ok." Tyler let him in.
"It was me, I was the one who started it with Arlie." Duncan quickly said.
"Chill bro," Tyler tried to calm him down, "sit down so we can talk."
"I want you to know now. It was me! Arlies over me. I mean OVER! And I didn't want to believe it so I pushed. She said it was her so me and you could be good together for the team."
Tyler was in shock.
"Don't take it out on her. She'll say the wrong thing to try and make you happy, to make the team happy. I know her, she wants you happy over her." Duncan finished.
"So let me get this straight....You tried to steal my girlfriend again?"
"I wouldn't say steal..."
