The team had just left to play their final game of 2019. They were playing the wizards on the 30th. But because the sixers had a long break Josh had spent the extra day with Arlie.

"So you and Tyler, exactly how is that going?" Josh asked.

"Great so far."

"And is this getting anywhere serious?"

"I'm not sure honestly."

"Have you two dropped the L bomb yet?"

"Maybe..." She laughed.

"What about...you know...have y'all done it yet?"

"Oh my god Josh!"

"Well have you?"

She blushed and tried to hide her smile.

"You hoe! Spill the tea. Is he good?" Josh joked.

"I'm not gonna tell you if he's good or not."

"Is he big?"

She threw a pillow on the couch at him, "what the hell?!" She laughed.

"Bigger than Duncan?" He asked.

She hesitated, "yes, now leave it alone." she laughed.

"Big for a white guy?"

"Honest yes, now leave it alone."

"I'm just messing with you. I saw his box of condoms in his bathroom." He laughed.

"So then if you saw it why were you asking about the size?"

"I like to mess with you. But at least you're using protection. You don't need a kid yet."

"Of course! Why does everyone keep talking about babies with me?"

"I don't know, maybe they like messing with you too."

She rolled her eyes.

"I can't believe it's already about to be 2020."

"I know it's crazy."

"In literally 3 more days it'll be the 1st."

"Yeah that's...wait what day is it?" She asked confused.

"The 29th, why?"

She thought to herself then pulled out her phone.

She looked at her calendar.

"What's wrong?" Josh asked.

Her heart sunk, "I think I'm gonna be sick..." She said before running to the bathroom.

Josh followed her into the bathroom and held her hair as she threw up.

He stayed by her side until she was done.

"You alright?" He asked, "are you feeling better?"

"I'm late..."

"Late?"

"My period...I'm late..."

"Late like how long?"

"Almost 2 weeks..."

"Do I need to take you to the store?"

"I don't know...would it be too early to tell?"

"The only way is to find out."

Arlie and Josh came back the the corner CVS store.

She opened the pregnancy test and went to the bathroom.

Once she was done she walked back out and sat next to josh. They decided to get the digital one to make sure instead of not knowing 100% with the lined one.

"Do you think there's a chance?" He asked.

"I don't even know...I'm scared. What the hell am I supposed to do?"

"Arlie...I don't know. But whatever happens I'll be by your side."

"We've only been together for a month...how the he'll can this happen." She started to cry.

"It only takes one time..."

She handed him the test as she was unable to read it.

"What does it say...?" She asked.

He hit his lip and looked over at her, "you're gonna be a mom..." He handed it back to her.

She looked at it, she was indeed pregnant.

"I'm gonna lay down..." She got up and walked to her room.

He followed.

"Arlie, I know you. You're gonna get through this." He said sitting down next to her as she laid on her side.

"Me and Tyler just got together. How are we supposed to have a kid when we're so young and new to this relationship."

"Well let's talk about it. Tell me your thoughts on the relationship."

"I love him so unbelievably much. That it makes me hate myself, it makes me furious at myself for falling so fast for someone that I just met. And I hate saying this because we've only officially been together for over a month. Everyday I get so scared that I could lose him any day. And what if he gets scared that we're gonna have a baby so early, I could lose him."

"You're not gonna lose him."

"How do you know?"

"Me and him talked last night. That man is in love with you. I mean head over heals. When your name is mentioned his whole mood changes. And the way he looks at you, it's indescribable. This is gonna be the test of how much you guys love each other, it's gonna out a strain in your relationship. But you both get to decide how this plays out.l

"How do I even tell him."

"Tell him alone, let him be the first to know."

"What should I do then?"

"Invite him over and just be honest. Don't hold anything back."

"I'm too young though...He's too young. He's just at the beginning of his career."

"This happens all the time. Yes you both are young but he's gonna support the three of you. And it's gonna be tough when he's on the road but you have friends and family here."

"My mom...oh my god..."

"That's the person I would be concerned about. I don't know how much more she could take. How was she with Jess?"

"Disappointed...she skipped christmas. Mostly because now me and Jess had our guys and she felt like there was no need to be there. If I tell her I'm gonna end up killing her."

"Or put her in a mental institution."

"This is gonna put her on the edge."

"Or push her off it...But why was she disappointed with Jess?"

"Because they're both young and Not married."

"Reasonable but life can't be planned out. Shits gonna happen but you get to decide if it's good or not."

"Should I tell Jess...?"

"Yes but I truly believe you should wait until Ty knows. He deserves to be the first to know."

"Oh my god...Duncan.."

"See now that might kill him."

"Why?"

He was silent.

"Josh did he say something?" Arlie turned to face him.

"He just misses you but not sure if he still likes you the way that he did at one point."

"This day keeps getting worse."
