Catra and I followed Adora on her quest. We were clueless as to why Adora decided to go alone, but it was an open opportunity to finally beat her once and for all. I wasn't really keen on defeating her, but Catra was obsessed with bringing Adora down.

Catra and I are close friends. As much as I love Adora, Catra was closer to me than she ever was. We were both found by the Horde in the same place and time, which made us suspect that we have some bond or relation. As time went, Catra is becoming emotionally unstable. I want to be there to support her and aid her with love.

Catra held her arm out which made me stop on my tracks. She then pointed a finger and brought it up to her lips, indicating the need of silence. I just nodded in reply and began to observe Adora.

"Ugh! Where in Etheria is that spot again?" Adora shouts in frustration as her eyes scanned the area.

Catra quickly grabbed the hem of my Horde jacket and took cover in a nearby bush. Sweat began to drip down her forehead; However, her face plastered on a look of carelessness.

She's nervous, but she's trying to hide it.

"Is someone there?" Adora's voice perk up as I could hear her footsteps approaching.

The noise from our movement must've caught her attention. We really need to train in order to be light with our feet.

Adora's presence was close. Catra took this opportunity and surprised attacked the poor blonde. Adora, however, had fast reflexes and was able to dodge Catra's attempt to attack. I had no choice but to strike.

I gripped tighter onto the handle of my katana and tried to scare Adora. I would never hurt her. I didn't have the guts to do so.

"Y/n, I know you don't want this." Adora states as she blocks my strikes.

"Yes they do! You can't change them, Adora." Catra replies as she clawed Adora from behind.

This caught Adora off guard and honestly it caught me off guard, too. Adora dropped weak to her knees as she felt the pain from the scratches Catra had given her. Catra quickly tied her hands together and took her most powerful weapon, the sword.

I went behind Adora and saw that the Jacket was now ripped open because of Catra. She had big, red and bleeding markings on her back. It broke my heart to see Adora in such a weak state, but I sucked it up.

Catra chuckled in victory. A smirk emitted from her lips while mine remains straight.

"That was an easy win. Hordak would be thrilled to hear about this, right y/n?" Catra's voice was laced with pride as she looked at me with bold eyes.

I remained quiet and stared at Adora. Adora's eyes met mine and I could read thousands of emotions swirling inside of her.

Hurt, confusion, heartbreak, betrayal and sadness. Her eyes wasn't as bright as it used to be.

"You'll pay for this." Adora spoke with venom stinging her voice.

Catra nudged my sides and gave me a certain look that I couldn't explain. She handed me Adora's sword and gave me a nod.

"Be proud, y/n. Show her you aren't afraid." Catra encourages me as she gave Adora a death glare.

I directed the sharp end of the sword just right under Adora's chin and made her look up at me.

"Y/n, please... I know the real you is in there. The one I lov-" Adora pleads bringing up our past, but Catra quickly cuts her off.

"If you did "love" them, why did you join the rebellion?"

The words that came off from Catra's mouth really made a hard blow to my heart. I could feel myself crumble from the inside, but I was neutral on the outside. Adora looked conflicted, but her eyes were now clouded with guilt.

I began to think about what had happened when Adora left the Horde. More problems came, more enemies, I fell into despair and she had moved on with her new friends.

Adora couldn't possibly love me anymore. If she did, she would've stayed.

Anger now bubbled inside of me and I threateningly pushed the blade a little further more. My eyebrows were furrowed and my lips frowned due to rage.

"You have a soft spot for me, don't you? That just makes you vulnerable. That's weakness. To think that you almost had me under your spell, I could've ended up like you." I sternly stated as I continued to glare.

Her eyebrows began to furrow as well and the look she gave me showed that she was beginning to get angry.

"You're horrible. I really did have a spot for you in my heart, but now I think that's beginning to fade. You keep talking about how if I loved you, I should've stayed; maybe if you did love me, you would've joined the rebellion and did what's right." Adora fought back, getting more aggressive with her words.

My heart was now completely broken. Nonetheless, I pushed it aside and remained strong for Catra and the Horde.

"Shut up, Adora. Maybe it was our destiny to be enemies instead of lovers." With that statement, I kicked her to the ground which sent her flying a little further.

I felt Catra wrap her arm around my shoulder as she gave me a side hug. I gave Catra a smile in which she gave one in return.

"We're taking you home, Adora."
