Marinette groaned when her alarm blared into her ear. She raised a fist and punched the snooze button, hoping that the cursed machine broke. The loud noise stopped much to the teen's pleasure as she snuggled back up into her sheets and slowly began to drift back into dreamland.

The trapdoor was shoved open, creating a loud banging noise. Frightened, the teen tangled inside her blanket rolled off the loft bed and fell to the floor. She didn't have time to sit up when a small form jumped onto her. Marinette grunted from the sudden weight and pulled the pink blanket off her head.

The first thing Marinette noticed was the red hair and heard giggling.

"Wake up! You're going to be late!" Tikki yelled, leaning down and slobbery kissing the bluenette's cheek. Before Marinette could react with disgust, the little ball of energy escaped back downstairs laughing. Marinette sat up and wiped the saliva off her cheek.

"How am I related to morning people?" The teen muttered under her breath while fixing her duvet. Once the bedding was nicely set, Marinette picked up her phone and saw a notification from SSP. She opened it while rubbing her eye, noticing it was from Alya's boyfriend.

"We're halfway there so don't be bemused! Let's celebrate! It's Wednesday, my dudes!" the post said and there was a picture of Nino wearing green goggles instead of glasses. Marinette raised an eyebrow before reality finally settled in. The bluenette checked her calendar to see that it was indeed Wednesday.

Bluebell eyes widened when she realized that tomorrow was Thursday. Tomorrow was her date to the movies with Luka! Marinette felt more awake now as she smiled the whole time she prepared herself for school.

Marinette happily treaded downstairs with her bag on her back. Celine looked up from her bowl of Lucky Charms to look over at her niece.

"Morning, Mari bear. You look way too happy to be a teenager getting up this early in the morning," Celine stated, scooping up some cereal with a spoon, "Did you have any nice dreams about a certain little boy blue that blows on horns?"

"For the record and firstly, he has blue and green hair. Secondly, he plays an electric guitar," Marinette listed, face turning slightly pink, "Thirdly, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop teasing me about my crush."

"Aaaawwww, that's no fun," Celine said, mouth full of marshmallows and cardboard-tasting oats. The bluenette chuckled, shaking her head at her obnoxious aunt acting childishly. Tikki ran from the living room and into the kitchen area with a piece of paper.

"I'm done with my homework, mama. Can I go now?" The small redhead asked, pleadingly. Celine nodded, watching her daughter run off to her dolls.

"By the way, how did you like my personal alarm waking you up this morning?" The woman asked, smirking. Marinette gave a pointed look, grabbing a croissant and taking a bite out of it. She looked at the time on the microwave before racing out of the building to get to school on time.

After eating a late breakfast, Adrien sat at the table and waited for Nathalie to show. He grew bored at some point and began scrolling through his SSP. He chuckled at a guy in a red hat's post about the Wednesday vine.

Finally, the door opened and Nathalie entered the dining room. She looked at the blonde teen in surprise before raising a questionable eyebrow.

"Adrien? What are you still doing sitting here? I thought you were in your room," She asked. Adrien shut off his phone with a confused look on his face.

"Don't I have to wait for you to come in before being released?" Adrien asked. The assistant blinked a few times to process the information.

"No, you don't need to do that anymore," Nathalie said, much to the blonde's surprise.

"Oh, okay. Anyways, were you looking for me?" Adrien asked, standing from his seat and sliding his phone into his jean's pocket.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to go out with me to pick up some things your bodyguard forgot to get yesterday," Nathalie explained, readjusting her glasses and looking down at the list of things to get.

Green eyes glimmered with excitement, liking the sound of getting out of the house until seeing how exhausted his guardian looked. He pursed his lips in thought when an imaginary light bulb flickered to life above his head.

"I got a better idea," The blonde said then explained, "You stay here and get some rest. I'll go run the errands for you."

The ex-model proudly smiled, hands resting on his hips. Nathalie didn't seem to like the idea of the boy going off on his own into the city o Paris. He didn't know where a lot of the places were since being locked up by his overprotective father. Adrien could get lost or, if worse comes to worse, get hurt by a mugger.

"I don't think that's a good ide-" the woman was cut off when Adrien the list from her hand and began to look it over.

"Please! I'll have my phone on me. I can use it to find things on the list and call in case of an emergency," he begged, "Just give me a chance! I know the Gorilla bugged my phone to track it."

Nathalie sighed, feeling a headache coming and rubbed her temples to ease the pain. Adrien felt guilty and was about to apologize when Nathalie nodded.

"Alright, just be careful and wear a disguise," The woman said, strictly and handed the teen some money. The blonde smiled and eagerly took the cash.

"I will and thank you!" Adrien said before putting on a disguise and running out of the mansion. Nathalie smiled a little before heading to her room to take a long, well-earned nap.

About three hours later, Adrien was almost done shopping for everything on the list. He just had a few more items left to go before heading back to the mansion.

The teen checked to see how much money he had left. There was quite more than enough to buy some decent furniture. Yet, he was searching for food which was why he was currently in a grocery store.

Green eyes scanned for the next item that hadn't been marked off the list. He scrunched his nose in disgust before heading towards the dairy aisle.

"Of all the cheeses in the whole world, it had to be Camembert," the blonde murmured under his breath, picking up the smelly cheese. He placed it in the bag and finished up the list.

Adrien checked out, paid for the food then exited the store. With a successful smile, the blonde walked away from the store. He felt helpful and accomplished with finding everything by himself without someone breathing down his shoulders.

Adrien didn't feel too useless after running these errands and within a good time. He grabbed his phone and began to put in coordinates back to the mansion.

He wasn't expecting a black shadow to pounce out from an alleyway next to the store.

Adrien stumbled a bit when the thing landed on his shoulder for a second before dashing off onto the road. He blinked and looked at the small creature.

A black cat, who carried something that was creamy white in its mouth. That's when Adrien recognized the object and looked inside his bag, searching for the food.

"Hey!" The blonde called out, annoyed and pointed an offending finger at the feline across the road, "That cat stole my cheese!"

Instead of doing the smart thing and going back to the store to get more cheese, Adrien began to chase the cat.
