Wolf speak (this means no one can understand it expect other wolves)
Winter whined and backed further away, scared that the larger pup might hurt her. "Hey calm down I ain't gonna hurtcha!" The pup said, trying to calm her down. "W-well why you look all serious then?!" Winters face would be very red from the stutter if she was human. "My papa said that I should always be serious around new people. Especially girls." The pup said, sitting near Winter but no to close to make her uncomfortable.
The two talked for a little bit and Winter found out that the pups name was Aleo and his mother had abandoned him since he couldnt keep up during hunts and slowed down the pack. Aleo seemed very interested to know Winter was a werewolf but then got worried when he found out she was lost and had now been away from home for over 2 hours. "We got to get you back home Winter! Your parents must be worried sick!" Aleo yelped, jumping up onto his paws. Winter shyly nodded and followed Aleo as he started walking.
"How do you know where to go?" Winter asked curiously. "I've seen your home a few times, even saw you and your dad! Wasnt close enough to recognize you though." Aleo replied, smiling the best a wolf could. Winter followed next to Aleo happily, excited to see her parents again.
15 minutes later yelling could be heard from outside the small house. "ITS BEEN 2 HOURS QUINN! HOW ARE YOU NOT WORRIED?!" Ray yelled. "Because shes fine! Shes lived around here long enough! She should know how to get home!" Quinn shrugged. Winter whimpered, a little hurt that her mother didnt seem to care as much. Ray suddenly turned his head and spotted the two pups. "Winter?!" Ray called, hoping it was his baby.
Winter started running, turning human half way and jumped into her father's arms crying out "daddy!" as Ray caught her and hugged her tightly. "Where have you been?!" Ray asked, pulling away to look her in her eyes. "I was chasing a butterfly but I didnt realize how far I r-ran u-until I g-got lost!" Winter started crying at the end, clinging to her father once more. "Shh.. it's okay babygirl.. how did you get home?" Ray asked, hoping to not get another wave of tears.
Winter turned and pointed a shakey hand at Aleo, who had slowly crept toward them. "Aleo found me and helped me back home." Winter smiled and giggled as Aleo barked. Ray smiled at the young pup but frowned after a few seconds. "Wait.. your Kelly's pup! From the Northern pack! What are you doing all the way out here?" Ray asked again, reaching out to pet the small pup. "My mom abandoned me outside our territory lines because I was too slow. The pack said I slowed them down and kicked me out." Aleo answered sadly, looking down.
Quinn watched from the house door, internally groaning at Aleos presence, and angered that Winter had not yet even said hello. 'That mutt better not stick around. I dont need another flea bag around!' Quinn thought and turned, walking into the house, letting the door slam closed behind her. Winter glances sadly at the door where her mother just stood but didnt leave her fathers side.
Ray paced in the dining room while Winter and Aleo slept on the couch together. Winter had asked if Aleo could stay since he had no where else to go. Aleo seemed to love that idea and bounced around happily at the thought of having a family again. Ray plopped down on a kitchen chair with his head in his hands. "Quinn would lose her shit if Aleo stayed..." Ray sighed and debated it in his head for a while longer before coming to a decision.
Ray quietly walked to his and Quinns room and kicked off his shirt and jeans, crawling into bed, seeing as it was now almost 10 at night. "Whens the wolf leaving?" Quinn asked, walking into the room, drying her hair. Ray mentally groaned and sat up in bed. "I'm not sure Quinn. Winters become attached to Aleo and he has no where else to go. I know how the pup feels." Ray mumbled the last part.
Quinn didnt hear the last part and she didnt care so she ignored it. "We can just tell Winter that we dont have the space or money or whatever to have the wolf here!" Quinn groaned. "We both know our daughter is smarter than that. We are right on edge of the woods and we only use money to buy food and bathroom stuff." Ray huffed, annoyed that his sleep is now getting held back and his wife was pushing his buttons.
An idea suddenly popped into Ray's head, an idea that might get Quinn to agree to Aleo staying and let him sleep! "What if Aleo stayed and I trained him like a guard dog? He could be Winters personal guard!" Ray suggested. Quinn was silent for a minute, thinking it over. 'Wolves cant be trained like dogs.. maybe he'll get so tired of trying to train it, the wolf will have to leave!' Quinns train of thoughts jolted to a halt when Ray cleared his throat to get his wife's attention again.
Quinn sighed and nodded her head. "It can stay." Ray smirked to himself and layed back down, followed by Quinn. Both parents quickly fell asleep, both with much different plans than the other for their daughter and Aleo.
