Came to my attention that people may be confused as to why Winters sides would hurt if she was a vampire. The reason is because her body would be changing so that she could properly digest blood, stuff like that. Sorry if there was confusion!
It had been a week since Winter and Ray had woken up in the backyard, both in wolf form. Quinn was becoming more angered and distant by the day, she was fuming. Ray took notice to this and often kept Winter busy by playing outside and teaching her how to do simple things like walk in her wolf form.
Most people would think that when the pup turns for the first time, everything comes naturally. How wrong they are is funny. Winter had trouble walking, standing, even barking! It was like she was a new born pup. She quickly got the hang of now having 4 legs instead of 2 and got used to controlling how loud she spoke. Her vocal cords got stronger, her speed naturally got faster, and of course her meat craving got bigger.
Quinn always watched the two from the kitchen window, scowling and thinking that she should be teaching her daughter how to drink blood without killing, turning people into vampires, controlling the new speed of a vampires! Quinn was fuming 24/7, but when Ray rushed into the house in a panic, her anger only grew. "YOU DID WHAT?!" Quinn screeched, causing Ray to flinch due to his sensitive hearing. "I only turned my back for a minute and then she was gone!" Ray snapped back.
Ray had turned to pick something that he suspected was wolfbane (a highly deadly plant to wolves) and carefully removing it from the yard, he realized Winter must have run off into the woods. Which lead to now, the 2 parents yelling over if it was Ray's fault or not. "Just follow her scent or something dumbass!" Quinn yelled. "You know I cant do that! It will take at least 2 more weeks before her scent shows up again!" Ray growled, getting impatient with his wife.
Winters scent disappeared after turning for the first time because of her wolf. She would have no scent for a month so her normal and wolf scents can mix properly.
Meanwhile the small pup was slowly walking in the direction she thought was home. 'Where am I?' Winter had run off chasing a butterfly, not realizing how far she ran until she looked back, not being able to smell her father anymore. Winter whined and layed
against a thick tree trunk, curling into a tree. That's how she stayed for almost an hour, in a ball against a tree, her while body shaking like a leaf.
A loud 'snap' made her head shoot up. She backed up as far as she could into the tree, ears folded back and tail wrapped tightly around her legs. She jumped when a small brown wolf pup jumped out of a bush, landing a few feet away from her. 'He isnt much bigger than me.. but still bigger!' Winter whined again when the male pup walked towards her.
