Wolf speak

It had been roughly 5 years since the Quinn incident. Winters sight had indeed been affected, she was mostly blind in her eye but she adapted and carried on like it never happened.

Aleo had grown over the years, now fully grown, his fur had gotten a bit darker too. Aleo skills grew as well, he now knew how to protect his sister in pretty much any situation.

Ray was proud and very pleased with both Winter and Aleo. Winters happy additude never faltered, and Aleo was the perfect big brother. Ray couldnt be happier really, it did hurt at first when Quinn left, claiming to had fallen out of live with him years ago but he quickly cheered up. He didnt need Quinn when he had his precious little girl and Aleo.

"Winter wait up!" Aleo barked breathlessly. Winter had also gotten much faster over the years, which made up for her smaller figure. "Guess size doesnt mean anything huh? Cant even keep up with me!" Winter laughed, her tail swishing back and forth steadily as she circled Aleo.

Aleo rolled his eyes, watching the girl circle him, each step light and graceful. Being smaller also meant she could be pretty much SILENT when traveling if she wanted to. Aleos ears twitched hearing the sound of Ray approaching them. "Come on you two, lunch is ready." Ray said, smiling at the sight of his daughter, who looked so much like him.

Winter turned to her human form, blowing her hair out of her face and smiling at her father. "Didnt burn anything did you?" She teased, walking beside him, Aleo right at her side. "Of course not! I'm a great cook!" Ray replied, gasping dramatically. Winter laughed while replying with "you put cereal in the microwave yesterday!"

The time though the walk back to the house, and through lunch, was filled with laughter and teasing. "Go clean up princess, we are going to go meet the Alpha of Aleos old pack." Ray said over his shoulder has he cleaned the dishes. Winter nodded, looking at Aleo who only shrugged the best a wolf could and followed her down to hall.

After about an hour of walking the 3 wolves reached the border line of the pack territory. "Remember, dont come out of your wolf form here Winter." Ray reminded. Winter nodded, glancing at Aleo who had his head held high. "Hello Ray. I'm assuming Winter is the lovely female behind you." A large black wolf said, approaching them, followed by 2 others.

Ray nodded and bowed his head in respect, Winter followed her fathers example. The alpha looked at Aleo. "Aleo." He greeted. Aleo bowed his head for only a minute before straightening up again. "I bet he is still as slow as he was as a pup." "Probably still weak too." Whispers from every wolf would be heard.

Winter didnt think before growling loudly "Oi! Shut it! We ain't deaf! If you ain't gonna say anythin' worth hearing then shut your mouth before I shut it for yah!" Everywolf went silent. Ray had to bite his tongue so he didnt laugh. "Winter, it's fine. Calm down." Aleo said, looking down at the angered girl.

The alpha cleared his throat and invited them in the territory, showing them around and talking mostly to Ray.

"And this is a newer part of the territory. We had to find new dens for medical purposes, due to our other ones being taken over my rogue wolves." The alpha said, nodding towards multiple wolves laying in the small dens. Aleo froze when he spotted one wolf he hoped he wouldn't see. His mother.

Aleo looked away, but didnt lower his head. He just hoped she didnt see him and approach them.

Aleo decided to speak up. "If you dont mind me asking, why were we invited here? I have yet to see a reason other than a tour we didnt ask for." Ray looked over his shoulder at Aleo, while the Alpha turned completely around to look at him. "That matter is not your concern." The male growled.

"Well I would assume it would be considering ALL of us were invited and not just my father." Winter said. The alpha stood silent for a moment, and Ray took this chance to step in. "I'll tell you why later, once we are home."

The 2 younger wolves dropped it for now and followed silently behind.

Winter yawned, bored out of her mind as Aleo Ray and the Alpha argued about a topic she cared nothing about.

After what felt like an hour, the alpha lead them to a popular hunting ground. Finally! Winter thought, she was starving! Her happiness quickly vanished as the Alpha said she was to small to join the hunt and Aleo was only joining because he was their guest.

Winter sat next to her father, waiting for the hunt to be over. "Can you tell me why we are here now?" She asked. Ray glanced around before responding, "there are rumors that your mother is back. And after you and Aleo. We came here so you 2 know where to go in case Quinn decides to make a apprentice." Ray explained quickly.

Winter only nodded, knowing it was better not to argue over the matter now.

Aleo had returned, carrying their meal and.. surrounded by girls? Winter tilted her head and smirked the best a wolf could smirk. "Did the ladies figure out how strong you are?" Winter teased, only getting an annoyed huff from the Male, who finally growled at the females to get lost.

Winter trailed behind her father and Aleo on the walk back, deciding not to waste her energy on keeping up with their long strides. Both males kept glancing back to check she was still there constantly, but failed to notice the pair of eyes that had been watching them all day.

A pair of bright green emerald eyes, that were ready to flash red and out for blood.

If you havnt figured it out, I'm not discontinuing. Fornowatleast. This was just kind of a chapter to get my head back in the game. Thanks for reading
