  Tabby walks into her kitchen on Monday morning with a bright smile across her lips. She carries her guitar with her before stopping at the table where her case is open. Grams and Pops are sitting with Dalton, eggs on their plates with a side of bacon. Tabby tucks her guitar away in the case, completely excited for tonight. Now that she's no longer in a band with Ariel or Anna, Tabby is back to being a one woman show- which she has no problem with. Playing with Anna and Ariel was awesome but being by herself again really lets Tabby get down to her roots and allows her music to be filled with more of her personal struggles. So for tonight, Tabby managed to get herself a gig to sing on a boat. The boat will only be offshore for a while but Tabby will take anything she can get.
   "Who's excited for tonight?" Tabby sing songs.
   "I am." Grams speaks up first and then looks at Dalton in his highchair. "Think Dalton will like boats?"
   "As long as you guys are sitting with him, I think so." Tabby nods her head, helping herself to the food on the stove. "I'm really excited. These are completely new songs, completely real, and completely Tabby."
   "I look forward to hearing it." Pops says  before taking a long drink of his water in front of him.
   "I almost forgot what it was to like music that just had to do with me and me only." Tabby sits down at the table with them. "When I was with Ariel and Anna, I had to write stuff that we all agreed on."
   "Well I'm glad you're back to your old ways." Grams' wrinkly cheeks lift as she smiles. "Are any of your friends coming?"
   "Harrow said she'd bring Dallas." Tabby nods her head. "I also wanted to do a song with Anna so she'll be there with her family too. Case as well."
   "I knew you had a crush on that neighbor boy." Pops points his finger at her.
   "Pops, I don't have a crush on Case." Tabby rolls her eyes. Her grandparents have been bugging her to ask Case out all summer since they started being friends. "He's gay."
   "That doesn't mean a girl like you couldn't turn him back." Pops doesn't put his finger down.
   "Let's just be happy that I'm singing tonight, okay?" Tabby grins, not even thinking about Case. She doesn't have any feelings for him whatsoever but she shouldn't have to try to prove anything. She's just excited for the show.

~~~(She Walks In by Easton)~~~
   Alice observes her face in the square mirror that's hanging on the inside of her locker door at school. Her perfectly plucked eyebrows are even and her cheekbones look more pronounced with her natural foundation. She applies lipstick to her already red lips, tossing the stick into her bag as she watches Xavier Archer crossing the hallway to his own locker. She smiles softly, admiring the way he walks, the way his lips are placed, how pretty his eyes are. It's time to make a move.
   Alice shuts her locker shut, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder as her heels clack against the floor of the hallway, getting closer and closer to Xavier at his locker. "Hey there sexy."
   Xavier looks caught off guard as she approaches him. "Hey... you."
   Alice leans against the wall of blue lockers. She's also in love with the fact that he dances. Who knew such guys existed? He's perfect for her. "You looked really good at dance practice last night."
   "Thanks." Xavier grabs a textbook from the bottom of his locker.
   Alice waits for him to compliment her back or say her ass looked good in her new shorts but he doesn't say anything else. "No problem." She bites her bottom lip in annoyance. Why isn't he flirting back? "You know, we could have our own dance practice sometime." Alice slowly leans over, making sure just enough cleavage is being flashed.
   "I'm good, thanks." Xavier barely shoots her another look before shutting the door and heading off down the hallway.
   "Alice Truso turned down?" Aloysius Barringer sweeps up next to Alice. His white dyed hair is slicked away from his face and his pretty blue eyes sparkle against his pale skin. Yahtzee and Alice have been friends since they met on Venice Beach when Alice was around ten years old, Yahtzee was twelve. They both ran away from their houses for the day and got to talking about how screwed up their home lives can be. Alice has really looked up to Yahtzee after all this time, like an older brother.
   "I wasn't turned down." Alice holds her chin high. "It's not like I asked him out or anything."
   "Looked like it from where I was." Yahtzee grins.
   "Is there something wrong with me?" Alice wonders aloud. "Do I look ugly today or something?"
   "No different than usual." Yahtzee studies her face.
   "In middle school, I could get any guy I wanted." Alice reminds him. "But now the only guy I actually want isn't even looking twice at me."
   "Maybe Alice Truso lost her cool." Yahtzee pretends to be amazed. "I didn't think this moment would come until her senior year at least."
   "Shut up." Alice growls, stomping off down the hallway, needing a new plan to get Xavier into her pants.
