Ye Jiao continued her training at night by absorbing Eon Energy in her surroundings as they had finished their lesson in the knowledge matters.

Ye Ai Xia noticed that Ye Jiao opened her eyes. "What is it, Jiao'er?"

"Mom, is there usually any difference when practicing at day and night?"

"No, there shouldn't be any difference," Ye Ai Xia replied. "Do you feel that there's something different in your training?"

"No."

"Then you should continue."

"Yes, Mom."

Ye Ai Xia waited until Ye Jiao had finished training before doing training on her own at the backyard. A lot of Eon Energy entered her body as she expanded her core and strengthened her body. However, the progress was extremely slow as she had reached rank 3.

By morning, Ye Ai Xia noticed that Wang Jun had come over to their residence.

"Are you the one who will escort Ye Jiao?" Ye Ai Xia walked to the front door and gave an indifferent look at the young man before her.

Wang Jun bowed down polite. "Greeting Madam. I'll wait here for Miss Ye Jiao."

"Don't disturb us."

"Yes, Madam."

Internally, Wang Jun was screaming loudly. Everyone always told him how Ye Ai Xia was known to be a beautiful and gentle lady. However, all he saw from this woman was how fierce she was. If only he knew this, he would not accept the task of escorting Ye Jiao from the general.

Thankfully for him, Ye Jiao woke up early every day. After breakfast with her mother, she came along with Wang Jun to Mu Family Residence.

"Jun Ge, is there no other way to come aside from this?" Ye Jiao asked.

Wang Jun shook his head. "The distance between Wei Family residence and Mu Family residence is quite far. It'll take a long time for you to travel every day if I don't come to escort you."

"I see..."

"Do you feel uncomfortable?"

Ye Jiao thought about it as she glanced at the young man. Not really since this person seemed to be only slightly younger than her father. She could just assume that he was her big brother and kind of, father like? That sound pretty good.

It didn't take long for them to arrive in Mu Family Residence. This time, Mu Xin didn't appear in the front door.

"Miss Mu Xin is in the training room."

"Ok, I understand," Ye Jiao made a beeline to the training room. After visiting them once yesterday, she partially remembered the layout of the path to the training room. Even though she still stopped here and there to see if she took the wrong way, she finally arrived at the training room.

Inside the room, a young girl with blue hair was standing with a wooden sword in her hand. The girl, Mu Xin, turned her head when she heard the door opened. Her indifferent expression didn't change in the slightest as she pointed her sword to Ye Jiao.

"You're late."

"This is still early," Ye Jiao was speechless. Did this girl want her to come here by dawn?

Mu Xin picked up another wooden sword and threw it to Ye Jiao. The girl caught it and was surprised by the weight. It was far heavier than most ordinary swords.

"What are we going to do today?"

"Swing them 500 times after stretching out by yourself," Mu Xin replied indifferently.

Ye Jiao stared at the sword on her hand. 500 times? She was not sure that her hand would be able to stay intact by the time she finished training. Seeing Mu Xin had started, Ye Jiao followed suit and copied Mu Xin's movement to stretch before swinging the sword.

The heavy wooden sword moved slowly as she tried to swing it as hard as possible. Her arm muscles felt like breaking by the time she reached 500. It was really hard to finish the training that Mu Xin arranged. However, Ye Jiao persevered and swung the sword over and over.

'240, 241,..."

By the time Mu Xin finished hers, Ye Jiao was still struggling around 300 or so.

"You should focus on balancing your stance when you're swinging your sword too," Mu Xin commented when she saw Ye Jiao's bad posture. "If you do it like this, I can knock you down very easily."

"What?"

Tak!

Mu Xin swung her sword in Ye Jiao's direction and knocked against the latter's wooden sword. The force was not big, but Ye Jiao could feel that her legs were weak. The moment the sword connected with each other, she shifted her weight to her other leg, which was in unstable position.

The end result was clear:

Bruck!

"That hurts," Ye Jiao complained. Her eyes stared at her legs with confusion. The one she used to practice was her hand, but even her legs were feeling weak when there was an impact given to her.

Mu Xin pointed to Ye Jiao with her wooden sword. "You have to fix your stance, or you'll fall to the floor in every attack."

"You're going to attack me when I swing the sword?"

"Yes, that's the quickest way to make you learn the importance of your stance," Mu Xin replied. She stood in front of Ye Jiao, ready to strike her wooden sword every time Ye Jiao made mistake or something like that.

Ye Jiao smiled wryly. "Can you spare me a bit?"

"No."

"...Ok," Ye Jiao stood up again and tried to recall how Mu Xin stood up not long ago. One legs at the front while the other one at the back. Their distance from each other were not far, just around their shoulder's length.

Her finger gripped the sword tighter as she focused her attention to her feet's position. Even though her muscle felt hurt because of the repeated movement, she still made sure that she swung the sword in full power.

Right when the sword was in the middle, Mu Xin stepped forward and clashed her sword with Ye Jiao's. This time, Ye Jiao could feel the impact very well. It started from her hand to her legs, which she forcefully held by positioning her center of gravity lower.

Mu Xin looked a bit surprised. "You catch on rather quick."

"I just copy your movement."

"Continue. I'll strike occasionally."

"Ok."

The meaning of occasionally was almost every swing. Ye Jiao had to make sure that her legs were able to withstand the burden as Mu Xin was very unforgiving. She fell back several times and other times, she could stay standing in her place.
