"So what do y'all want to do now?" Sophie asked, crossing her legs. Everyone had finished breakfast, and they were sitting in a circle in the Vacker's living room.

"How about truth or dare?" Stina suggested. "That could be fun." The way she said fun made Sophie nervous, but she agreed nonetheless.

"Okay, is that alright with everyone?" A chorus of nods answered. "So who's going first," Sophie questioned.

"I will," Stina replied with a malicious smile. "Biana, truth or dare?"

Biana turned white and squeaked, "Dare."

"Darn," Stina said. "Oh well. I dare you to call Matthew and tell him that Abby has a secret crush on him."

Biana scowled. "But that's just plain mean," she said. Matthew was a boy from school who had a huge crush on Abby, a girl at their school, and everyone knew that Abby had rejected him multiple times.

"So? It's a dare," Stina scoffed. Biana took off one of her socks. (They had made a rule where you could take off a piece of clothing if you didn't want to do the dare or answer the truth.) "Y'all are no fun," Stina pouted.

"Whatever," Biana responded. "Tam, truth or dare?"

"Truth," Tam replied. Sophie was kind of surprised. He seemed more like a dare kind of guy.

"Ok, do you like Glimmer?" Tam blushed.

"Yes," he answered. Biana and Linh oohed at the same time, but everyone else was really confused.

"Who's Glimmer?" Keefe asked. "And that's an awful name. I feel bad for said girl."

"Glimmer is a girl who Tam grew really close to when we were in ju- Ohio over the summer!" Sophie noticed Linh's fumbled mistake in the middle of the sentence and decided to figure it out.

"Ju- Ohio?" she asked. Linh turned bright red. "What were you going to say?"

"It's n-nothing," Linh mumbled.

"It doesn't sound like nothing," Sophie pressed.

"Sophie, please just drop it," Linh replied, tears filling her eyes.

"Linh, what's wrong?" Sophie asked, concerned for her new friend.

"I don't want to talk about it." Linh got up and ran out of the room. Tam followed her, and everyone else looked around with wide eyes. Except for Stina.

Stina just smirk and said, "Biana, y'all should just tell them. They're going to have to know eventually."
