Three (Davids POV)

I hear Mecha tell someone to unhand her now. Then I hear a guy say make me pretty boy. I get up to go see what is going on. I open my door and see her. But what I see next boils my blood. Daniel has her wrist and she is trying to get loose from him. "Remove your hand from her, Mecha give me a minute before bringing her in. Daniel step inside." I see Daniel drop her arm and stand up. "Kevin go out with Mecha and Delilah." I watch Kevin until he gets up to them then I close the door. "Now you are here for what exactly?"
I see him gulp. "My boss sent me to discuss a trade deal with you."
"What does your boss have that I could want?"
"Info on who killed Roselina." He tells me.
"How about this, he tells me who killed my sister and I will let you live. Call him and tell him my deal."
I watch him pull out his phone. "Boss I am sitting with David now."
"It is Mr. Dubois to you."
"He has his own deal for you. You tell him who killed his sister and he will let me live. I don't know. Here he wants to talk to you." He says handing me his phone.
"Hello, Stephen." I say.
"Why are you threatening to kill my brother?"
"He should really watch who he grabs." I tell him, and watch Daniel's face go pale.
"Who did he grabs?"
"He grabbed my Delilah." I snarl at him. "Now who killed my sister?"
"It was the Russians. Who is Delilah?"
"She is none of your concern." I tell him hanging up the phone. I give it back to him and stand up. "Let's get one thing straight here. When you are in my place, you don't touch anything or anyone."
"Yes sir." He tells me.
"Good now get out." I tell him, then watch as he gets up and walks out. I walk over to the door and see her sitting in a chair with Kevin in her lap. I see her try to stand up. After two attempts to get Kevin off her lap I watch her turn him to face her then stand up with him and switch him to her hip. "Kevin stay out there with Mecha. Delilah if you would." I say stepping to the side to let her in. As she passes me I breath in her scent, strawberries and cream. I see her sit down.
"It's nice to meet you Mr..."
"David, just call me David." I tell her. "I see Kevin has taken a liking to you already."
"He is a sweet boy."
"How much did Mecha tell you?"
"About?"
"Why we need a care giver."
"He told me why, I am sorry for your loss."
"You will sleep in the family wing of the house. Your room is between Kevin's and mine. There is a door connecting with both rooms. Part of your duties is getting Kevin up in the morning and to bed at night. He takes his bath at seven in the evening then we have a family dinner, after that he reads for thirty minutes to allow his food to settle. Then he goes to bed. After he is in bed you will let me know, then you can roam the house and get to know it." I tell her standing back up. I grab my jacket and slide it on. "Let's go home." I tell her.
"You are coming with us?"
"You will ride with Kevin and myself, Mecha will follow with your things in the van."
"What about everyone waiting to see you?"
"They can return tomorrow." I tell her leading the way out of my office. "Miss. Gregory reschedule my remaining appointments for today to tomorrow afternoon." I tell my secretary.
"Of course Mr. Dubois. What time should I expect you back today?"
"I won't be back today. And tomorrow I will be in to get the appointments finished then I will be gone." I tell her.
"Uncle David, I am hungry." Kevin says walking up to Delilah.
"How about we stop on the way home and get you something to eat." I say, he nods his head. Then he steps between us and takes one of each of our hands.
"Can you read me some of one of the classics in the car?" He asks her.
"If it's okay with..."
"What are you reading?" I ask interrupting her.
"Right now I am reading Odyssey, but I can start a different one with him in the car."
"Do you have any Poe?" Kevin asks her.
"How about The Raven?" He nods his head. We get to the elevator and all four of us climb in. "I will need to run to the van for a minute." She says as the door opens.
"Mecha get Kevin into the car and ready to go. I will go with her to the van." I say and see Mecha nod his head. I follow her to the van and watch her look through the boxes then she opens one of them. She comes back out with a book. I look at her.
"It's a complete collection of Poe's work. My foster father was an English teacher. When I graduated he got it for me." She says then she walks towards Mecha. I follow her and we get into the car.
"Mecha, head on home. We will be there shortly." He nods his head and walks to the van and drives off. "Now then what did you want to eat?" I ask Kevin.
"McDonald's happy meal." He says looking at me. I lean over and ruffle his hair.
"Drew we are stopping at McDonald's on the way home." I tell the driver. He nods his head and starts driving. I look across at them and see her showing Kevin the book. Then she starts reading to him.
