About noon there is a knock on the door. I get up and answer it. I see Mecha holding two plates. I take them from him. "Thanks." I say then walk over to a table and sit them down. "Kevin come eat."
"I will be back in about two hours to take you both to David." Mecha says before shutting the door.
"Uncle Mecha is upset." I hear Kevin say behind me.
"What makes you say that?"
"He is never like this unless he is upset." He tells me picking at his food.
"I am sure whatever is wrong will work itself out. We need to finish eating and get back to work."
We are just finishing up with his final lesson when the door opens back up. "Are you two ready?" I hear Mecha ask. I nod my head and we stand up. Kevin takes my hand and we follow him out to a car. "Both of you in the back." He says opening the door. I climb in and Kevin follows me.
"Can we read?" Kevin asks. I look at him and see he has my book. "I can read to you." He tells me. I nod my head. He opens it up and starts reading Annabel Lee. The car stops and I look up. I see we are parked outside the office building from yesterday. Then I see Mecha on his phone.
"We are out front waiting on you. Okay see you in a minute." After a few minutes David walks out. He walks around the car and opens the door next to me.
"Out and up front." He tells me. "Mecha you need to get in the back with Kevin." He says as I am climbing out. I watch Mecha get out and get in the door I just got out of. I go to walk around and get in the passenger door but David stops me. "Just get in and scoot over." I do as told. Then David climbs in and starts driving.
"I though we were meeting you at the mall."
"My last meeting ran long so I called Mecha to just come get me." He says. "Mecha when we get to the mall I will take Delilah to the day spa then we will catch up with you and Kevin afterwards."
"Yes boss."
