We leave the room we are in and head deeper into the place. "Hair is next." He says. I look up at him. "Just getting dead ends cut off." I follow him up to a woman. "Monica, how are you?"
"Good, and you?"
"I am excellent. Monica I would like to introduce Delilah to you. I just need the dead ends cut off."
"Hello. You are the one who my cousin cannot stop talking about." The woman says to me extending her hand. I take her hand thinking she wants to shake. "Oh my. I must do her nails as well." She says then leads me to a chair. I sit down and she starts combing my hair out. "Not much dead ends here. You take care of your hair. I bet it's still the original color."
"Yes it is. I have never dyed or permed my hair."
"I will just trim it up." She says, as she picks up scissors. She starts and is finished quickly. "Now the nails."
"Paint but no fake nails." I tell her.
"But you must. Nails are sometimes all we have to defend ourselves."
"Not this trip Monica. Mecha and Kevin are waiting for us." He says taking my hand pulling me up. I follow him back the way we came. He stops at a desk and pays for everything. Then he opens the door and waits for me to go out. "Next on the list is your new phone." He says walking to an Apple Store. I follow him inside. "Let's see a rose gold eleven." He tells the clerk. Who goes into the back and comes out with a box. "I need to add it to my plan. I also need the information from this SIM card uploaded to it."
"Yes sir. Give me about half an hour and it will be finished."
"Delilah come we have to go to a few more shops." He says holding his hand out. I take his hand and walk with him. We get to a boutique and go inside. "Pick out a couple nice dresses and some skirts and tops you like. We will stop at a different store for jeans and casual tops." He tells me letting go of my hand. I go and start looking around. I find three dresses I like and grab them. Then I go to the tops and find a few. I finish up with the skirts. I go and find him. "Those the ones you want?" I nod my head. "Well let's go pay for them." He says leading me to the register. "Someone will be here shortly to collect these bags." He tells the girl working. "Shall we go check on your phone?" He says taking my hand again. We walk back the way we came.
"Well if it is Delilah and Mr. Big Shot." I hear Gavin say.
"It's Mr. Dubois" David says continuing to walk.
"Hope you like her not putting out." Gavin says, stopping David in his tracks. "She will let you buy her anything, but give nothing in return."
"Toi et lui jamais?"
"Non. Personnel d'autre non plus."
"English please."
"Tu es veirge?"
"Oui."
"Pourquoi?"
"Je ne sais pas, ne mentionne Jamaica le bob gars."
"Donc je serai le premier." David says making me blush. "Bien."
"Hello, it would be nice to be let in on the conversation." Gavin says.
"We are trying to have a private conversation here. You may leave." David tells him. "Venez terminer nos achets et recontrer los deux autres." He says starting to walk again. I look over my shoulder and see Gavin standing there looking at us.
