Chapter Twenty•Coming Home
home is where the heart is right?
Ariannas Pov

Give or take half an hour later we arrived at my moms house. My parents had separated when I was young and my father let my mother, brother and I keep the house. We lived in a nice little complex, some people referred to it as the 'rich people neighborhood' but it anything like that. I thought of Lucas's house as the 'rich people.'

"You're home!" My mother shouted from the door as soon as we had pulled into our driveway. She sped walked over to us embracing us both in a group hug. Cierra and I both smiled as she pulled away grabbing a bag or two that belonged to us.

"Hi Miss.Miller." Cierra smiled and my mom had rolled her eyes. Cierra grew up with me, she knew better to never call my mom that. She said it made her feel old.

"Oh shut up." She remarked laughing a little as we went inside. The familiar smell of our little fireplace was potent in the air. It was mixed with our lavender air fresher that she refused to get rid of and the smell of Clorox wipes.

"How was the ride here?" My mom asked as we had made our way into the kitchen.  My mom had recently gotten it completely redone. She wrecked the wall that separated the kitchen and dining room, and had gotten everything redone in a granite. It looked absolutely fantastic. She even made a little island set up with bar stools.

"Pretty good." I answered sitting on the island bar stool and Cierra did the same.

"Where's Tommy?" I asked, not hearing his death yells for a little. Tommy was my little brother, he just turned eleven and thought since he was in the double digits that he was 'the shit,' and can do whatever he wanted. I felt bad for my mom sometimes.

"Oh he's just over at a friends." She had shrugged and sighed. Tommy never spent any time with her. I understood why, he's going through his stage where he's too cool for her but he truly isn't and my mom was getting pretty lonely.

"Traci, have you thought of maybe going on Tinder?" Cierra asked my mother. The face she gave in return was beyond hysterical.

"Tinder? Cierra why in the world.."  My mom questioned Cierra a lot of times.

"Because, why not! You're hot Mrs. Miller! You got a rocking bod! People are into the whole MILF thing!"

I had started to bust out in laughter as the front door had shut closed. Cierra was almost in tears with how hard she was laughing and my mother was shaking her head like we were a disappointment.

"Welcome home Tommy." My mom smiled as he walked into the kitchen. No doubt Tommy was attractive to some girls. He had his tan, bronzed skin, the most beautiful curls and his eyes were like diamonds. He was going to break peoples hearts one day.

"Sup sis, hey Cierra." Tommy did a head nod towards Cierra and draped his arm around my waist.

"How's middle school little dude?" Cierra asked, he shrugged pulling himself away from me and going to the fridge.

"Eh. The eighth graders are pretty hot though." He winked and Cierra started to laugh again. Cierra and Tommy had always gotten along pretty well. It's a shame he wasn't older or else I'd totally support the two of them together and not her and Alex.

"Focus on your education Tom..not females." I sighed and he rolled his eyes grabbing a water from the fridge.

"Now you sound like mom." He sighed and went upstairs to his room leaving us three by ourselves.

"So, I was thinking chicken pasta for dinner?"

Later that night, after everyone had went to sleep I had gotten a shower and went back into my bedroom. Cierra was sitting on my bed, smirk on her face and phone in hand. She was going to bed in her sweats from earlier and just a Victoria Sport bra.

"What?" I asked dropping my towel and grabbing some clothing. I had chosen on some booty shorts and a oversize Penn State hoodie.

"Your moms asleep right?" Cierra asked, I nodded going over to my little vanity area to brush my hair. Her smirk grew wider as I grew more curious.

"Why?"

"Alex is on his way over." Cierra smiled and I rolled my eyes. Alex would always come over late at night when my mom was asleep. Sometimes he would stay the night and leave before she woke up, other times there was no sleeping at all.

"Why are you so happy about that? Y'all gonna fuck?" I blurted out, Cierras expression changed so fast if you would've missed it.

"Excuse me?"

"I didn't stutter." I smirked towards her and she rolled her eyes laying back on my bed.

"No. We don't fuck in front of friends."

I dropped the brush in my hand and she started laughing.

"Are you serious?!" I exclaimed and she shook her head.

"No idiot! Alex and I are just friends!" She laughed harder and I tossed my brush at her. She caught it but still was in hysterics.

I rolled my eyes when Alex had texted her, she quickly got up an quietly ran downstairs to the front door. I followed behind and opened it and came face to face with a stranger and

"Alex!" Cierra exclaimed wrapping her arms around him.
