Chapter Thirty One•Epilogue Part Two
The pictures lasted up to the last ten minutes before we had to walk down the aisle. Everything was set up and ready for my mom. The guests were seated and slight music was playing in the background.
Heels clacked behind me and I turned to see my mom. She was absolutely stunning. Her hair was in a curled ponytail, certain pieces pulled out framing her face. Her dress was beaded at the top, and flared out from the waist down. The bottom had sprakles on it and if it the sun hit just right, it shined so brightly.
"You look amazing." I exclaimed taking it all in. As my mom and I talked, my brother had showed up beside us. He would be giving our mother away. It was the most beautiful thing and as much as he acted like he didn't enjoy it, he loved it.
"Ready?" Tommy asked, squishing himself between my mother and I. She nodded as I got in my postion. I was my mothers maid of honor. Tommy and my mom stood behind me as I kept moving foward as more people kept going to their spots. Right before it was my turn I stood and looked around. Everyone was looking back for the next person to come out. I gripped onto my flowers and started to walk.
As I walked I made eye contact with many familair faces. My dad smiled at me, Liam was sitting in the back few rows, Cierra was filming and sitting beside her was Alex
and Lucas.
I felt my cheeks flush when I walked past them. Once I finally got in my postion my wandering eyes met with Lucas. He looked at me as if I was the only girl in the world. The smile upon his lips never faded. He mouthed the words "You're goregous." And I actually felt my heart melting in my chest.
The piano had started to play and everyone rose. I broke Lucas's gaze for a second and met them with my mom. Tommy interlocked arms with her as they started to walk. My father let out a deep breath and seemed to wipe away a tear.
I was so so happy that they had each other. My father went through hell trying to win her back, but there was never any doubt now that everyone saw them. He loved her. I tried to fight back tears but one slid down my cheek as my brother handed dad our moms hand. Tommy kissed my mom on the cheek and she looked at him with much admiration.
"Thank you Tommy." My father softly said, Tommy nodded and went to the first row of seats. He winked to me and I fought back a laugh.
My parents stood in front of me as the pastor started to talk. I glanced towards the crowd and came face to face with Liam. He had smiled and waved slightly. I smiled back than looked towards my parents again.
My father had invited Liam to the wedding after our altercation after the party that night. Liam had wanted to decline but I told him not to. There was no bad blood, not anymore. He apoligized countless times after I repedatly told him it was ok. We had remained friends and I saw him anytime that I would come home for breaks.
I had broken out of my thought when my father had started to talk. "Traci, you are the light of my life. You are my best friend and my confidant. You're never afraid to tell me when i'm wrong, and you're never short to defend me when i'm right. Losing you was the worst pain imaginable. You, and our two beautiful children make me beyond happy and I realized that, that's all I need. I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of our life together."
--
"Your mom is married!" Cierra shouted running up to me from the crowd. I laughed and embraced her tightly. The reception had taken place an hour after the wedding. The set up was incredible. There was a mini dancing area set up with a DJ booth to the side. There was a live band playing while the DJ took a break. The food was all lined up with the tables, white tablecloth with sequins on the end. Fairy lights hung from the trees that draped over the area. Everything went with my moms dress and it was perfect.
"It's so beautiful." I stated, Cierra nodded in agreement as Liam walked up to the two of us. He looked nice in a tux.
"Hi." I smiled as we hugged. I pulled myself away and he stuffed his hands in his pockets.
"Hi. Congratulations by the way." He said, Cierra nudged my shoulder and pointed that she was leaving. She knew that eveything was cool between Liam and I and wanted us to have space.
"Thank you. Although you might wanna say that to my parents. Not me." I laughed sligthtly and he joined in.
"I know, but you must be happy. You know it's funny cause six months ago there was a girl who looked exactly like you who told her father that her mother deserved so much better."
We joined in on laughing again and I shook my head. "Things have changed since than."
"I know, and i'm happy for you Arianna. I really am." We hugged one more time and he walked off mumbling a goodbye. Exhaling I walked over to the drinks and grabbed some champage. They didn't card people in my own backyard.
"You know I hate to offend Traci like this," The voice started "But you are the single most beautiful girl here." I turned around coming face to face with my favorite person. My best friend. Lucas.
"And you are lying." I chuckled, he rolled his eyes and reached for the drink in my hand. He sat it on the table beside us and reached for my hand. "What are we doing?"
"Dancing. So I can show all these other girls that mine is the most beautiful."
The way he said it so simply, it's as if there wasn't any doubt in his mind. He led me to the middle of the dance floor as "Turning Page" had started playing from the band.
"Did you plan this?" I scoffed and he shurgged.
"So what if I did?"
I let out a laugh in pure shock and shook my head as he wrapped his arms around my waist and mine went around the back of his neck. He moved his body slowly with me, his eyes wandering over the area.
I know you're dying to know what happened that day six months ago.
I didn't forgive him right away. He worked to earn me back, to earn my friendship and my love. He was never short of deliving it either. He stayed by my side, and loved me when I couldn't love myself. We had fights, and we had argueed but as time went on he proved himself more and more.
Than he made me his. And it was never short of perfect. He loved me endlessly and did whatever he could to show it. He kissed me with such affection, it's as if I was fragile and would break. I loved him, and I fell more in love every single day.
It was like everything was too good to be true. But I didn't care. I loved him.
"What are you thinking about?" He whispered, leaning his head down to my ear. I smiled, and shook my head no.
"Don't worry about it." I looked towards him, his honey eyes. His little nose and his small, beautiful lips. He was my heart in human form. I was his.
"I love you." Lucas mumbled, his eyes never once leaving mine. I looked down trying to hide the blush on my cheeks.
He removed one of his hands, meeting our lips together. He kissed with such passion, his love for me was potent in the way we had kissed. His hand gripped my waist a little tighter as our kiss went on longer.
He pulled himself away from me first, the smile in his eyes brighter than the one on his lips. "What?" I laughed, confused on what was happening.
"I have a surprise, could we sneak away for a while?" He asked, I nodded looking for my parents face in the crowd. Cierra would find me if they needed me. As I looked for Cierra I found her doing the exact thing with Alex that Lucas I did.
I've never been happier for her.
"Let's go." Lucas mumbled, grabbing my hand and leading me away.
