Chapter 20

Candace's POV

"Are you two getting married anytime soon?" The paparazzi yelled out once Donald opened my door.

The paparazzi surrounded Donald's car once we pulled up to the restaurant.

"I didn't know they were gonna be here." He apologized to me as we made our way into the restaurant.

"It's okay , it's not your fault." I replied back to him.

I guess the paparazzi couldn't come in the restaurant because they stood outside snapping pictures of us.

"Hello , do you guys have a reservation?" The waiter asked.

"Yeah it's under 'Glover'" Donald said wrapping his arm around me.

She looked and nodded her head with a smile.

"Okay follow me to your table." She explained.

We nodded our heads and followed behind her.

We followed her to a private back area where no one could see us.

There was candles everywhere and the scent of cinnamon was lingering in the air.

A huge smile spread across my face.

Donald and I sat at the table that the waitress led us too.

"I'll be back to order your drinks." She said before walking away.

"This is beautiful!" I exclaimed staring in awe at my surroundings.

Donald grabbed my hand and smiled. "I did it all for you."

"Thank you this is amazing." I replied kissing him.

I'm surprised at how comfortable we feel kissing each other since we have know each other for a while.

"You know my mom still talks about you all the time and every time I have another girl over the house she brings you up." Donald said.

"Really?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah. She's the reason why I haven't had a real girlfriend." He explained.

"Well we should go see her." I replied.

Donald nodded his head. "I never stopped thinking about you and what would've happened if I stayed."

"Me too."
