Myra

"Hey pretty girl."

I couldn't help but smile through the other end of the line. "Janay, hi."

"How are you holding up?"

"... I don't know."

"Aww, I'm sure Casandra will pop up. Try to have hope."

"It's almost been three weeks Janay. There's no way she's alive at this point."

"You really think someone sought out to kill her?"

"She was literally on her way here then all of a sudden I stop hearing from her? I'm not exactly sure what happened but I know someone hurt my sister in some way, I can just feel it. And I know exactly who played a part in it."

"Who?"

"C'mon Janay. Who else? The 'lovely couple' partying in town last night like shit is sweet."

"But... this was the first time they've been in Virginia for a while. When could they have possibly come here to do anything to Casandra?"

"I don't put anything past them, and neither should you."

"Okay so I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a minute. You tried to ruin their lives like seven, eight years ago? Then you failed, but have been so consistent in doing shit behind the scenes ever since, putting me and Casandra in the middle of it. I don't know but if you really think Kelly and Trey had something to do with her disappearance, I'd say she had it coming anyway."

"Well if that's the case then yo ass is next." I said under my breath, not loud enough for her to hear. "Look, I don't even understand why you're taking up for them in the first place. She beat the shit out of you among other things, he won't give you the time of day because she's in the way, and both of them are the reason why your daughter is without a father. Wasn't the whole point of you moving here to get back at them in a way they wouldn't see coming?"

"First of all, never did I say I was taking up for them. I'm just trying to make you see things from a realistic perspective. I know what they did and trust me I'll never forget it, but I'm honestly thinking twice about if all of this is worth the trouble. I always feel like someone's watching me and it's fucking scary, especially for Naomi. I'm aware of why I first decided to move here, but now it's like what's the point if I have to look over my shoulder all the time?"

"Ugh, girl please. You knew what you were getting yourself into from the beginning so I don't know why  you're acting brand new. You always try to back out of shit when you can't handle the pressure. I'm tired of this inconsistency, you're either in or you're not. Let me know now so I can permanently cut all ties with you if need be."

"Do you even know what you're doing anymore? Here they are, in the same city as us, and you haven't made any moves. You don't even know where they're staying or how long they're gonna be here in the first place. Unless you actually have a concrete plan, I don't think I wanna be bothered with this."

Just when I was about to let her ass have it, I was interrupted by several loud knocks on my door.

"Lucky bitch." I mumbled. "I'ma call you back."

Trey
Several hours earlier

"Kelz. Kelz. Baby." I said softly while trying to wake Kelly up. I would've let her continue sleeping but it's damn near noon and let her tell it, we got shit to handle today.

"Oh my gosh Trey why are you yelling in my ear?"

"... I'm literally whispering." I chuckled. "You hungover as shit ain't you?"
