Unless you are wonder woman in disguise...
It is what another man told me
You're already a responsibility and trust me you'll have one too
You'll end up with a family, a job, and everything in between
You're supposed to be soft, delicate, nice, beautifully fitting, well mannered, listen and do not speak
You'll never reach the places you seek
Another says : you should learn to be tamed
what is to be tamed? If i was born from the most untamed places
A rib
Their rib
what is tamed if not a broken bone?
And what is a broken bone if not a broken woman?
They Gave me an excuse of ignorance and sexism
They Gave me an excuse based on my gender
As if they can decide for me
Or underestimate the power within me
In this society
Being who you are is a crime
Being honest is too loud
Being real is disturbing
Being talented is egoism
Being passionate is overwhelming
Having a dream is irresponsibility
They say spit your truth and look at it
To remember who you're
To those who believe so
To this small minded community
That gives you the illusion of hope
And erase it before it appears
That gives you the right to be you
But then it imprisons you
To this hypocrite community
I'm not wonder woman in disguise
I'm wonder woman
Every mother is wonder woman
Every working woman is wonder woman
Every working mother is wonder woman
Every divorced woman with four children to raise alone is wonder woman
Every , Muslim, Christian, Buddhist woman is wonder woman
Every black, white, Asian, Caucasian, Arab woman is wonder woman
Every woman is wonder woman
The adjective wonder should not sit next to who we are as a glory because woman is supposed to be enough.
