Kageyama Tobio - Birthday

"So, it's [y/n]-san's b-day today and you're trying to bake a cake for her?" Hinata said as he was on speaker on Kageyama's phone.

Kageyama placed his phone on the counter and put on an apron with a tick mark on his temple.

It was silent before Hinata started bursting out laughing. "Good luck with that! HAHAHAHAHAHA!! You can't even toast a waffle HAHAHAHA"

"SHUT UP HINATA BOKE!" Kageyama yelled at his phone in irritation.

The boy finally got the things he needed and placed them on the counter and reads the directions.

He mumbled a few things to himself, making sure he has everything. Him and Hinata would talk to each other and sometimes Hinata would laugh at the boy for being stupid but it's ok cuz we luv the blueberry boy :3

Kageyama pulls out the tray with the cake in it from the oven and looks at it with a worried look. The form of the cake didn't look right to him.

"Uhh, Hinata?"

The said boy hums in response.

"I don't think I had any flour.. or butter.."

"THEN WHAT THE HECK DID YOU PUT IN THERE??!!"

"ANYTHING BUT THAT AND SHUT UP!!" Kageyama grabs a fork and took a small piece from the cake. He swallowed it and made a disgusted look.

"That's it, I'm calling daichi-senpai and the others to help you and I'll be there too!" Hinata said before hanging up.

Not long after, Kageyama heard a knock on his door. He opened it to only see his whole volleyball team at his door.

"I heard you're having cake trouble for your girlfriend." Daichi snickers.

Hinata jumps from the crowd. "You know it!"

A look of dread came over the boy's face as he knew this will only turn into chaos.

Tsukishima smirks. "Can't even bake a cake." The blonde snickers.

"SHUT UP!"

Uhm, so, Kageyama was right about everything turning into chaos. At first, Sugawara and Daichi were trying to teach him the basics as the others did their own thing.

That kinda went downhill when Tanaka and Nishinoya started being their loud selves. The two were playing super smash bros on Kageyama's switch and Tanaka totally destroyed the other.

He took off his shirt and whipped it around in the air while shouting in victory. Noya kinda sat their, dead, but then tackles his friend to the ground. "I'll destroy you in real life to show you who's stronger!" And the two started rolling around the place, "tackling" each other.

"What the hell..?" Tsukishima and Yamaguchi face palmed.

"Awe, Kageyama looks so cute when he was younger." Yachi said to herself as she looked at a baby picture of him that was hanging on the wall.

"He is, isn't he?" A female voice spoke.

Yachi smile before turning her head. "Yeah h-" The blonde's eyes went wide in shock. "[L-L/N]-san!"

Everyone froze with wide eyes of shock as the girl smiles innocently. Even Tanaka and Nishinoya froze, but in a weird position that physics can't comprehend.

"[L/N]-san, what are you doing here?" Yachi asks.

"It's my boyfriend's house, doi, but Ennoshita-san texted me the situation so here I am!"

"Uhhhh.."

Tanaka and Nishinoya continued their fight as they rolled around the house together but then went into the kitchen. They rolled around the three boys but then they rolled right into the table with the batter ontop of it.

The two boys rubbed their heads in pain as the bowl of batter started wobbling.

"Tanaka-"

"Noya-" The three other boy's yelled in unison. But it was too late because the batter fell ontop of Tanaka's head, the batter making it look he has long hair.

Noya bursted out laughing as he pointed at the other boy. A tick mark appeared on Tanaka's temple.

Kageyama's expression turned upset as he lowered his head. All he wanted was to bake a cake for his girlfriend's 16th birthday. He sniffed a few times as everyone went silent and looks at the blueberry with worried looks.

Daichi and Sugawara exchanged worried looks before seeing [y/n] slowly walk into the kitchen.

She backs hug her lover and she rested her head in his shoulder. "Its okay, your effort will be enough to make me happy."

"[Y-Y/N]? When did you get here?"

The girl lifted up her head. "Just a few minutes ago." She grabbed ahold of his wrist before dragging him away. "Come on, let's go play on your switch."

As the two left the kitchen, the parents of the club look at Tanaka and Nishinoya with scolding looks.

30 minutes past by and everyone was playing super smash bros on the switch. Ennoshita came back with a plastic bag.

"Hey, when did you leave and what's in the bag?" Hinata asks.

Ennoshita just smiles before taking Kageyama into the kitchen, leaving everyone confused.

The two came back with Kageyama holding a (fav cupcake) with [f/c] frosting and a lit candle at the top.

Ennoshita turned off the lights and started singing happy birthday then everyone started singing along.

The blueberry slowly made his way to the birthday girl as she smiles at him and he looks down while blushing.

Kageyama sat down next to her and placed the cupcake onto the coffee table. When everyone stopped singing, [y/n] closed her eyes for a moment then blew out the candle as everyone started clapping. She glanced at everyone's faces with a smile.

"Happy birthday, [y/n].." He mumbled shyly as he handed her a velvet box. She opened it and her eyes went wide and smile was as big as ever.

"It's a promise ring." He held up his hand to show his promise ring on his ring finger with a blush on his face. "It's a promise to be with each other forever. Put it on." He slightly smiles.

The girl did as she was told and kissed the boy on the cheek. "This was the best birthday ever. Thank you." She smiles.
