it's y/n's third year at fukurodani and she was just living her high school life peacefully. that's until recently when this loud, owl looking boy won't leave the poor girl alone.
it was morning and y/n was on her way to class when she noticed that she passed the boy in the hallway.
"good morning, l/n-san!" the boy greeted and started following the girl. "how is your day so far? do you want to eat lunch with me and akaashi today? did you finish your homework from last night?" the boy basically bombarded the girl with questions and this irritated her.
this owl looking boy was invading the girl's personal bubble and it's quite larger than others since she has a hard time talking with other people and prefer to be alone most of the time. surprisingly, y/n hadn't snapped at him yet or even spoken a word to him and yet, he still bothers to try and talk to this shy and quiet girl.
y/n annoyingly turned around and made the boy stop in his tracks and stop in the middle of his sentence. she then gave him a look to leave her alone and then walks away.
"okay, see you later, l/n-san!" the owl boy waved goodbye with a large smile.
-
days has went by and y/n tried her best to avoid any contact with this boy and give him many warnings has possible that she doesn't want to have anything to do with him, but unfortunately, he still continued to be around her.
y/n sighs as the boy sits next to her desk. he was gonna start a conversation but the girl cuts him off. "what's your name..?" she softly spoke, only loud enough for the boy to hear.
the owl haired boy sat there, shocked. "all this time i've talked to you and you never knew my name?!"
y/n laughed inside her head. 'i thought he was shocked about me speaking for the first time to him.' she thought.
the girl looked at him for an answer.
"oh, i'm bokuto koutarou." he smiles sheepishly.
"so..," y/n started off. "why do you keep trying to talk to me, even though i tried to ignore you many times?"
"oh, about that.." bokuto laughs nervously. "you just seemed like an interesting person to be around and it looked like you needed a friend."
y/n looked away. "i have friends..." she mumbles.
"oh yeah, who?"
the girl pauses to think. she looks at bokuto and then looks away in defeat. "my cat.."
the boy bursted out laughing and patted the girl's shoulder. "well, you have me now, yeah? we're friends now, right?"
y/n slightly smiles. "yeah.. i guess."
bokuto smiles widely.
-
to y/n, that little interaction with that boy was a mistake. for years, she has always tried her best to stay away from people and making friends. but now, she feels these emotions towards the boy that are strange, yet somewhat familiar and distant.
for days, she's been trying to figure out these emotions and it's frustrating her. she doesn't know what she's feeling and everytime she would have a small chat with bokuto, the feeling gets worse and it's eating her away.
everytime she tries to sleep, she envisions bokuto and his bright smile with his loud and fun personality. it makes her smile but she tries to shake those thoughts away.
for awhile, the girl gave up and just accepts whatever emotion she's feeling and decides to befriend the boy. slowly, but surely, the two became close and enjoys each other's company.
they would talk about literally anything and bokuto's personality would never fail to make y/n laugh and smile. at the same time, y/n would try and ignore those emotions that's just keep rising inside of her.
"what did your mom pack in your bento?" bokuto asks as the two sat behind the school to eat lunch together.
"ah, just some meat, eggs, and vegetables.." y/n trails off, not really liking what her mom packed.
"ooh, can i have a bite?" the boy asks with his mouth drooling and eyes sparkling.
the girl picks up a piece of meat with her chopsticks "uh, sure-" without hesitating, bokuto leaned over and took a bite out of the meat that y/n just picked up.
to the girl, it looked like it was in slow motion and the thought of feeding the boy made her face heat up.
bokuto's cheeks puffed as he chewed with satisfaction. "hmm, it's not bad! you're mom's a really good cook. here," bokuto used his chopsticks to pick up the piece of meat from her bento and held his other hand under it so it doesn't make a mess. "try it!" the boy motioned the meat towards the girl. "open wide~" he said with a smile.
y/n looked at the meat then at bokuto then back at the meat. she then realized that she's being fed by the owl boy. her face turned red as she shyly takes a bite of the meat.
her eyes widen in surprise.
"good isn't it?" bokuto grins. the girl nodded her head as she chewed.
y/n picked up another piece for bokuto. "you want another one?" she asks.
the boy nods his head. "of course!" he went to lean down and act like he was going to take a bite, but at the last moment, he quickly placed a kiss on the girls cheek.
y/n stood their frozen has bokuto looks away all shy. she slowly places her hand on her cheek where bokuto kissed her and then looked at the boy with wide eyes.
"too soon?" bokuto admits, lowering his head.
y/n shook her head and then smiled. she finally figured out what those weird emotions she was feeling all this time.
"i like you too, bokuto-san.." she looks down shyly.
the said boy then smiles wider then ever and gave the girl a big hug as he placed another kiss on her cheek.
thank you for making me listen to that song, it was really helpful for me to write this :)
