Lucifer stared at the ascending steps of the temple not understanding what to do,now that he had reached till here his head travelled back to the thought of why did he come to a holy stage in the first place?

It was his race tomorrow, time was running by and he was still at square one with no work yet completed upon reaching Hyderabad. He still didn't get the time to go for the parcel collection for Daraseem Bahra, his girlfriend's dad;the infamous drug death of Goa.

The primary purpose of coming to Hyderabad, the sorting of things with Mr and Mrs Dhoopdar about Aaradhna was not even in it's initial stages, and the company papers which Headache Naav has given supposed to be delivered for some corporation whose name he had forgotten by now is another of his pending duties.

Watching a lady feed her daughter the Prasad;food offered to the God reminded him of his mother, maybe since morning everything is making him miss his mother that is one of the reasons he thought about visiting a temple.

His mom is a devotee of Lord Krishna,so here he was standing outside a RadhaKrishna temple thinking about now what to do. The little girl pushed away her mother's hand maybe not liking the Prasad.

Lucifer couldn't stop his mind from travelling back in time when his mother would bring heaven and hell in one frame for his eating habits. There was this one particular phase when he had a dozens of meetings and loads of work,so his mom being the smart lady started to send tiffin boxes of food specially salads replacing his files and documents of his carry brief case,as he couldn't conjure even the time to get scolded by her.

One time when he forgot his lunch box she announced herself in the office without prior information to show some kindling mother son love and set parental goals for others. That is the day Lucifer had lost a major project and that's when he shouted on her to never ever bring him food even if his last wish on the death bed is eating her homemade food.

At that time he didn't realise what a sin he had committed, but it's been years and his mother never again bought him food although she would still keep a track on his eatery schedule. Now watching the mother still pursuing her daughter to eat made his eyes watery.

He wanted to apologise for his behaviour but his mother couldn't listen now.

Sliding his phone from one of his pockets he dialled the number to which he usually calls in the times when he misses his mother.

"How is she doing Doctor?"
Lucifer asked remembering his mother smile when he had bought her a wrist watch with his first salary, forgetting the fact that she hated watches but still she had accepted with a teary smile.

"The condition is still the same Mr Brandt, like I said if you find an emotional connection to her she may wake up but again it's just a myth people believe,I don't approve that as a doctor."
Dr Rajesh was a conflicting man with his own beliefs, but as a doctor he was the best one out there with his job.

"I am trying Doctor. Anyways I just wanted to know my mom was okay or not."

"She is doing good. Yesterday your father came to check on I thought there would be an improvement because generally spouses love magic work, but again that's another rumoured belief about miracles happening." Lucifer wanted to bang that head of Dr Rajesh into any electric pole so that he would stop speaking contradictory sentences.

Maybe that disease should be name as a contradictory sentence making syndrome!

Listening that his father came for a visit to the hospital made him flinch, because that man didn't give two shits about relationships. Maybe that could be another of his stints to act as the loving husband.

The thought only made him feel disgusting!

"When are you coming back?"

"I don't know doctor. Just pray that it be sooner."

"Okay. But I must say-"
Lucifer didn't want to hear any other of his contradictory statements so he just declined the crappy call.

If it wasn't for his mother he would have never talked this psychic of a doctor again in his life, not only that if it wasn't for his mother he would have just left everything at bay and start a new fresh life in one of the farthest corners of the world.

Everything felt so much difficult, just like a race either with time or against time.

When his mother has been awesomely fit and fine he seemed to be in the race of earning money, proving his worth of existence although he is still in the proving race and now when he realised things the time seemed to be racing against him.

If he didn't collect the parcel then Daraseem Bahra would not give the west link details which are very important for him because it held the data of complete navy business links from Port to Port.

Then there was the contract papers he was supposed to deliver for Chandan Naav, his boss. If he failed to comply this his job will be a dangling risk which he didn't want at this stage.

Aaradhna was not an option to be left out,at all cost he had to sort out the legal things about his little angel.

"You won't come inside?"

Lucifer was shocked to hear the little voice of his angel but found Samanvitha standing in front of him with a plate readied for the puja at the temple.

With knitting brows he stared at Samanvitha when he felt somebody pulling his pant, that made it clear that Aaradhna was the one who spoke, standing with a coconut in her little hands dolled up in a traditional attire of a short kurti set trying to handle her not so long dupatta, looking so adorable in her actions that Lucifer had to bend and give a kiss on her forehead lifting her in his arms.

"Hello Bad Boy."
Aaradhna said in a very innocent voice making him pull out few notes from his pocket and circling them around her face to which she very cutely rolled her eyes following the path of the notes.

"You are hyp-tising me!?"

Samanvitha laughed as she watched Aaradhna shrieking on his arms trying to free herself from being hypnotised, whereas Lucifer couldn't stop his smile.
