We kill time. We save time. We rob and get robbed of time, we lose time, and we have all the time in the world. But no one of us is powerful enough to stop the march of time or slow it down.

Bidding goodbyes was never something Lucifer was good at. No matter if it was his family back in time, although it wasn't a departure because he still goes back to meet his mum. But this time, he didn't commit the same mistake because a man doing a mistake once is okay, but twice is a coward.

He actually went to Aaradhna's house this Sunday morning, to give a final departure goodbye to his little angel. Brought her a lot of chocolates. Kissed her. Told her that he'd be going back to Goa for work. And he'd come back again to meet her. But he couldn't get himself to bid farewell to one person, Samanvitha. He knew as a course of time, they had established friendship between themselves. Of course he lied to her about becoming a father, it was only to know what she thought of her. And friends do joke around. Do they not?

He really did want to meet her and tell about his departure. But this thought about why he was giving her that much importance nagged him. So, to satiate his Ego, he left to Goa without telling her. Of course he did regret it soon after reaching Goa. But now, there was nothing he could do. Call her now and apologize - he'd look like a loser. So he let it go. Whatever happens, happens.

Back in Hyderabad, Samanvitha really did feel bad about him at least not calling her before leaving. She did consider that they were friends but seems they were not. And also, she felt bad for judging him when she came to know what Lucifer in fact was not becoming a father, but was only trying to joke, or may be test her attitude towards him. But she really didn't like that he wanted to 'test' her. Did she look like a piece of experiment?

People say with time priorities change. Six months have passed away in a blur. Samanvitha has completed her internship and had also given her exams along with her friends. She passed them with flying colours. She had also earned a job in 'Innovations Pvt. Ltd.' , the firm where she pursued her internship - as a designer under Mr. Ramanujan, a senior Manager. But her job was in the Mangalore branch while her internship was in Hyderabad. Her friends too landed up with great opportunities but no one were near hers'. Only Sarayu's first posting was in Bangalore - the closest to her - which was still a 350 km gap.

She was almost damn sure her parents won't allow her to go away from the city. When she first told them the news, they were not really into it. As parents, all the more with conservative mindset, they were not willing to let their only daughter into an unknown place. Of course, as a parent, it would feel that they are right in their places. No parent would want to see their child in distress. Things might have been different had it been a bay. But being a girl child things weren't easy. Crimes against women were not a new thing. It had been going on from times immemorial. This further pushed her parents be unwilling.

Her excitement all simmered down seeing their reluctance. A lot of persuasion from her and her friends for weeks together and finally a visit from her mentor, Kamal Sir himself, who was also transferred to Mangalore for a project, eased their hesitation and they gave a green light to her job. They did realize it was wrong of them to contain their child from exploring their world.

The day this happened, Sam's joy knew no bounds. She took a whole day studying about her office in the web. Her preparations to head to Mangalore started from the day she got the offer, though her parents were not keen on it initially.

Though she was excited at the prospect of going to a new city, new job, new people, Samanvitha was also nervous and frightened for the very same reason. Bidding farewell to her Parents, Friends, Mr. & Mrs. Dhoopdhar, and most importantly Aaradhna was not easy for her. Even a glimpse of Aaradhna brought back memories of 'he who shall not be named' which she desperately tried to push to the back of her mind. Still, she held on.

And today was the day.

She reached Mangalore today morning along with her dad. They both headed to Ashoknagar, the area where Sam decided to rent out an apartment along with another girl she met online, who wants a room-mate. As they reached the apartment, Saudamini, the room-mate, who prefers to be called Sami, welcomed them in. Sami is a sweet girl. Originally from Mysore, she relocated to Mangalore for education. She is currently pursuing MBA in Mangalore University.

After getting acquainted and freshened up, Sam and Mr. Krishna Murthy, headed out, to check out the neighbourhood. After a day of exploring, they headed back in the evening. Sam's father planned on departing this evening. His train was scheduled for 8 pm. After giving her a several instructions and guidelines, he hugged her and bid adieu.

Of course, no parent will not be not panicking when they are leaving their child in a city far off. But they also do know that they shouldn't restrict their kid and should let him or her spread their wings. And now is Samanvitha's turn. So, with heavy heart he let go and let her spread her wings. Asking her to be very very careful and to call everyday, he got on to the train and left. Turning back into her flat, Sam was astonished to see her room mate. Seems like she is not what she seemed earlier in presence of her dad.

This was going to be the start of a new chapter in Samanvitha's life. Away from her nest, she has to excel and prove her worth. Let's hope she has a brilliant experience ahead. Please do wish her luck.
