"Osteopath combines Greek osteon, bone, with pathos, suffering, disease. Osteopathy is originally based on the theory that disease is caused by pressure of the bones on blood vessels and nerves. An Osteopathic practitioner is not a bone specialist, despite misleading etymology - and should not be confused with the orthopaedist, who is."
Not being either of the paedician Dr Rajesh's fickle personality was still similar to the explained confusion, because of it, he thought it would be okay if Lucifer either came or missed to meet his mother as according to his base knowledge : you are not her emotional key or else she would have been cured long ago, so your presence doesn't matter.
Thankfully Lucifer got a call from his Dad's Personal Assistant; Shravan, who was still in good contacts with Lucifer, that at times he doubted Shravan was more of a spy set on him by his father, although he wasn't clear about the situation.
Shravan in crystal clear words stated that Mrs Parvati Brandt, his mother, has survived another fatal seizure attack and it is believed that if two more of such situations then there is no chance she could be ever saved - though Lucifer was eager to know all the medical terms the doctor would use to explain the case instead of this plain public tongue.
The first thing Lucifer wanted to do after coming back to his hometown Mangalore was; sack Dr Bastard Rajesh from his job in his own blind rage, growing umpteen love for his mother. But he knew better not to insult the protector of his mother's life. However Dr Rajesh might have been behaving with him, but still he was the man who has taken care of his mother for the past year, which Lucifer was very thankful for.
Watching his mother barely managing to open her eyes Lucifer could feel a contracting pain in his chest, why Jesus is giving her such suffering, is what he cried about sleeping at the wrinkled feet of his mother.
When for a minute she opened her eyes Lucifer without wasting any second showed the picture of Aradhana Angel, which bought a little curve on her swollen face then again the IV and sleeping pills pulled her back into the night hole, which gave another gravely empty feeling to him.
Very cautiously Lucifer has managed to dodge any run-ins with his father, thanks to Shravan who better knew the schedule and minute whereabouts of Seamus Kendal Brandt, it was beyond astonishment for Lucifer to believe that his father had paid a visit to his bedridden mother in the hospital a few days back, for complete five minutes.
All Lucifer could tell was maybe his father was here in the hope that his mother would get up so that he could take her signatures on any property papers which were named after Parvati Brandt, maybe he went away only taking the thumb prints. Although Lucifer didn't want to think that low of his own father, but he couldn't swat away the possibility; because that's what his father was, a business minded slaughter horse.
Though this sudden intrusive course of life had sabotaged his plans of Pondicherry, Lucifer didn't want to think about it but that is the only way he can beat Seamus Kendal Brandt in this sick game of business and he can't risk this opportunity.
Giving a kiss on his mother's forehead he whispered a be strong prayer and came out of the ward knowing very well that a bunch of nurses and a team of doctors will keep his mother safe and alive here.
It was again time to leave, this time his own hometown: Mangalore, but there was one more thing he was left to do: meet Señorita.
Lucifer has very cleverly managed in getting Samanvitha's number from Nora after Aaru Angel said him about her Sammy Di moving to some angalore which he had to confirm with Nora again, either it was Bangalore, well technically Bengaluru or Mangalore.
Because she was just a week old here in Mangalore there weren't many chances that Samanvitha could get a new number because she was new to this state, so he had taken the effort of even taking the residence telephone number of Samanvitha which luckily Nora gave away without any probation and suspicion, and he was sure by now Nora might have even informed Samanvitha about this little supposedly miscellaneous incident. That's how girls are - clandestine sharer. Not that he was trying to be stereotypical, but his experience to that species left him the opinion.
First he tried to her old state number which only played the number isn't available tone for how many ever times he called, so maybe she did take a new number, then calling the residence telephone was his only last and remaining option.
Dialing the number he immediately cut it, confused of what to actually talk because this time again he was leaving, will she appreciate this call?
What should he actually address her? If he calls her Señorita now knowing her personality she is going to teleport herself through the phone and kill him, is what he thought, it would be so awkward to call her Sam, they weren't best of friends also.
Throwing all his uncertainties into a nearby dustbin, Lucifer daringly allowed his thumb to touch the call icon. With every ring his heart was dribbling violently of the consequences.
Somebody picked up the line and shouted a hello, it was a girl, his Señorita.
"Hi, is this Sammy?"
Despite stuck in the awkwardly dangerous situation Lucifer awarded himself a smile for being such a genius. Aaru Angel is the connection between him and Señorita, his angel calls Samanvitha - Sammy Di, that is the only thing which could calm Samanvitha down if he reveals himself, being the smartie he didn't use Di because girls are really hyperactive about their age, which he came to know well because of Fatima.
"Yeah, and you must be?"
"That's great. Look I am so. . No. My flight is at five, this evening maybe terminal 3, can you meet me at the airport? By the way I am Brandy."
Vomiting all the words in one sentence Lucifer cut the call because he wasn't strong enough to face a rejection. This was a fair deal, if Samanvitha wanted to meet she can come and if not then he had nothing to lose.
